I sit my fabric pots in a rectangular container just a little bigger than the bags, but same height, it slows down evaporation because almost no airflow inside container but still plenty aeration.

Bottomwatering 2-3 cm / 1 inch every day, or every other day seems to be the sweet spot for me currently. I can easily leave it for a week to a month without plants complaining, depending on the weather.

But that’s with companion crops though, they make everything way more robust and resistant against draught, the companion crops will die first if you completely stop watering, and they’ll decompose and feed the soil, protecting and feeding the cannabis. I’ve gone over a month without watering and had zero issues. Some of the companion crops died back and the cannabis slowed down a bit in the last week, that’s all.

Your humidity won’t be so high without the perlite, because it’s gonna be risky once you’re flowering unless you have a heavy in-out flow going on with fans and weather is dry.
You can get a dehumidifier, but it makes no sense if you can simply remove the perlite.
But might be excellent for vegging though.

Thanks for creating this growjournal, there’s so many different ways of doing things, it’s fascinating! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
