Been a bit since last post. Half of the Black Triangle have been cut along with the Motorbreath. Still 3 Black Triangle and 3 Flo x Romulan finishing up. The 3 remaining BT are my favorites from the females. Very similar plant structure on them but flower structure being pretty variable. Two are unlike each other with the third being a blend of the two.
Outside the garden has become a forest again. We have gotten so much rain this year and a decent amount of heat so weeding has been daunting. Tomatoes have put on lots of fruit and bow the waiting game begins. My wife and I will be busy for a couple weeks making sauces and canning.
I put some tiny clones out a couple months ago along the fence and today they are beautiful giant bushes. I took a good foot off the tops yesterday as they were already reaching past the fence. I believe they are all Motorbreath with one Flo x Romulan.
Speaking of Motorbreath and Flo x Romulan. The big girls in the greenhouse got treated to the biggest pot I could find, the ground. I’ll have to rig up some trellis support soon with flower starting in about a month.
Oh yeah and that Blueberry Super Silver Haze S1 I said would go in the tent next round…she’s up to my chin now. Unfortunately that won’t fit in my tent. The good news is she has some swollen calyx lower down on her that are covered in resin, and the smell is exactly like mom! She’s still not quite awake for the day yet.
She sure will. I believe I see some funny business going on with the greenhouse plants. The beginning of russet mites…sooooo tonight and the next many nights I’ll be alternating green clean and insecticidal soap. I just can’t quite catch a break with those buggers.
I have the next round for the tent ready. Brand new soil and trying some cedar mulch to keep the top moist. They will live on the back porch for 2-3 days while I spray them at sundown and they do some rooting. In the lineup is Cotton Candy Crunch, Triangle Kush x Gelato, Snake Venom S1, Snake Venom x Cotton Candy Crunch, and Flo x White Widow.
In the next few weeks in going to set up a 2x2 tent with 9 Blueberry Super Silver Haze S1 from seed in 1 gallon pots. I’d like to be able to confirm a high probability of plants like the mom.
There is a solution that works for bugs - my trip and spider mite days are a thing or the past - im not exaggerating when I say this stuff works absolutely amazing. Here is the recipe.
Thanks bud! There have been a few now that have advised it, and I will get on to trying it as soon as my current stock of IPM stuff is depleted. I need to get a regular routine together rather than letting things slip as I usually do.
I’m very excited for this next run with the DIY octopots. The first experimental run was impressive and I should have some of the mistakes fixed. Now I just hope for cool weather!
Well, just found out that the gathering in Birch Run is this weekend. Unfortunately, I can’t make it this year due to car show commitments.
I’ve got the Justice for Josh show Friday night, and the HUGE Wheels on the Waterfront show Saturday, both of which I’m a volunteer at.
Bummer man! Although I think I’ll be missing it as well. Have to water plants at work this weekend and am not sure there will be reasonable time to head out there. Maybe next year!
