Adventures in seed poppin and pollen tossin

indoors I add Agricultural Gypsum (canadian gyspum products) and Dolopril to my sunshine 4 prior to use.
I remember that fellow on the other site that grew the hug 600 plant rooms… rykus/coastal. He ran Promix HP with worm castings and additional perlite. I think his mix can still be found on the other site. He fed that mix with nutrients and not water only. I was going to try it but the price of worm castings is just stupid and would add a cost to the grow that I’m ot prepared to fork out. I have wanted to start my own worm bins and might find time to do that this summer. We have 2 types of earthworm here and the ground is rich with them so it will be easy to get things started on the road to my own supply of worm castings. I get by without them and I seem to get my fair share of compliments on my gardens and finished flower but I have to admit that rykus/coastal grows some amazing plants with his indoor soil mix. I miss that guy and hope life is treating him okay.

hey what’s shakin out there?
My brother inlaw finally made it home from Serbia after 6months over there dealing with a death in the family and the resulting estate. The good news is he made it a priority to come visit us soon after he got back. He is from alberta so he can get Everclear over the counter whereas here I need a permit and the stuff is strictly controlled. Stupid rules made by greedy taxation assholes LOL
Anyhow he brought me 4 bottles so that should get me going with processing the material I have had aging. Some stuff is oldert than 2 years some is a year. The first run was all flower and was about 2 ounces of dry frozen weed before I started the process.
Both weed and alcohol were dropped to -18C for 48hrs before the wash.
I like to very carefully add the weed and the alcohol to a food saver bag I make with the bulk rolls and then I make it way more than I need it to be so I can safely seal the open end. No vacuum, just sealing the bag being super careful not to get alcohol near the elements in the foodsaver vac sealer.
Once that is done I have a sealed foodsaver bag I can slosh around and shake very easily. I shake for 2 or 3 minutes then back in the freezer for 10 minutes or so then shake again vigorously. Because this weed has been aged and naturally decarboxolated and the chlorophyls have broken down, there is zero green in the wash. So a total of 20 minutes for the wash and then I cut a small hole in one corner of the bag and pour all the alcohol into a large jar. As the alcohol gets down to the last bit I twist the foodsaver bag until I am compressing the weed and forcing out the remaining extractable alcohol. Can’t get it all in this step but we will get more out of this weed later when I process it into cannabutter.

So here are some pics of the stages. This is mostly basic kindergarten stuff as far as extraction goes but if gold goes in… gold comes out hehehe In this case it looks like this will be an exceptionally clear batch.
soaked and squeezed into a jar

Set in the freezer for an hour to winterize

and running thru the coffee filter it sure is coming out nice for one short winterizing step. You can see the waxes/lipids floating in the mix. I might winterize one more time but seeing how clean the first filtering is I may just cook this batch off.

Chopped two indoor plants last night. Those being the Rude Dog and @Pigeonman 's Horny Horse Cherry Red Shitfest. Both grew a little floppy LOL so they were supported with strings … have to lean them against the wall so they don’t just flop to the floor
Rude Dog

And the Horny Horse Cherry Red Shitfest. I took a bunch of pics but many were kinda blurry.

Got 5 more plants in the flower room and 2 weeks till chop time.

Ah least half of these are things on my to-grow list, or related to them. Great selection. Wish I had the space for the variety!

@TopShelfTrees1 good to know man

When things cool down in the fall I may be looking hehehe

Took a few random shots in the greenhouse yesterday. Things have been slow growing the past week with the cool temps and storms passing through. Hopefully we get a nice stretch of good weather soon as the smaller plants need it so they can get some vigor going.

So here’s some pics fer now.
Both of the Chem D clones are out in the greenhouse now. One is in a #2 pot and the other is still in a solo cup type starter pot but getting transplanted to the #2 today. One will get flowered and one will be saved for a mother.

and the small one

Gorilla Bubble Bx2

When I was originally sexing the LUI x G13 I thought I had 4 females and one male but as I was cutting clones the other day it appears that one of the females isn’t a female at all but a late showing male. So my pollination with use 2 males to 3 females… should be fun.
My indoor plants are done in a week and I’ll move the males inside under a Spider Farmer SF4000 to flower and collect pollen then I’ll branch in bag pollinate the 3 ladies

the sneaky male ( no pics of the first male… next time)

ha! my mother plant of OGKB 2.0 … I was gonna toss her because she has been alive since last fall , nursing her along under the hlg 600B spec indoors all winter. She produced nice healthy clones though  I just could not kill her in the end as the OGKB 2.0 is some of my favorite smoke. So I’m torturing her into the first layer of a scrog net and once those tops are all twisted and tied into the squares of the net I’ll leave her alone to grow before the next net goes on and I flip her. Probably looking at 4 weeks of veg under the sun before the flip so she is gonna be a nice plant when she is done  I love me a nice outdoor scrog and this plant has proven to be up for the task. Once the tops are all sorted I will be doing a major thinning below the net but not yet.

Let’s see what else did I take pics of…
Island Pink Kush adapting well to her surroundings

and last we have 2 Scoutbreath females and 3 Fire OGKB f2 females… very stoked for these.

and that’s it for now…

Plants are starting to take off now and are adapting well to my reamended recycled soil. I am always nervous to see what will happen when I blindly mix up and add back to the season’s dirt piles.
I think I might actually try and get my soil tested after this season and start taking it a little more seriously… but if it works don’t fix it right??
So far so good.
Here’s some pics from yesterday.

Grape Pie , one in a tote and other in a 7gal.

thanx for the kind words fellas
@JAWS , it’s a simple set up but it gives me room to play a bit.
I can do 38 plants outside under my med license and 4 recreational plants.
My season is short though so I have to light dep and get my harvest down by end of september.
Sometimes I have a few that go into october but then I have to add heaters to keep temps up.
July 2nd today and my indoor harvest is down.
No pics… No time… LOL and I noticed mites have suddenly appeared in the flower room and I got no time or patience to deal with that so … close enough at 60 days for the Bubba Royale, 88G13HP, Schromba and 90’s Blues and the RM-G13 still has white hairs at day 78 but she is ambering in the trichomes so chop time.
Now it’s santitze the shop and grow rooms and get ready to flip the males and the ogkb 2.0 clone for STS reversal  Got permission from Chunkypigs to add the ogkb 2.0 to my breeding plans so it’s full steam ahead with some plans I have had for a while now.

The last plants to sex are the Fruity Pebbles F4 from @JAWS and they are still in 1 gallon pots. Looking at them today it looks like maybe 2 females and 5 males but it is too early to call it.
Fire OGKB F2 it’s looking like I have 3 females and 4 males… and Scoutbreath 2 females, 2 males and the one runt/slow one looks like a male too. Pollen will be collected from both the scoutbreath males for use on the OGKB 2.0 and the Scoutbreath females. I really need to preserve this line as much as possible.
What else is going on over here… The S1 plants from seed are starting to get to transplant stage so they will get up potted any day now… that list is the Stat Line(tony green), Slurricane x 2 (Inhouse) , GG4 S1 (useful) and Darlin’s Net S1(wifi gary).

Haven’t shown much of the Biker KushV1 F3 or the Long Valley Royal Kush but I’ll get there.
The Long Valley’s have all been selected down to 8 females and transplanted to 7 gal and I am going to be topping them all and cloning them. Aiming to flip those in a couple weeks.
Biker Kush , also down to 8 females and they are still in #2 pots but should be getting up potted pretty soon. These are not easy to grow plants and require some patience as they build thier root system. Once the roots get well established they take off like a viney OG does LOL There is not much variation in these plants and they all have a sweet skunky burnt rubber/tangerine citrus funk to the stem rubs. It’s not overpowering , but it;s there.

will try and get the pics rolling as I get things a bit more organized. Just gotta figure out which plants start light dep first. decisions… decisions hehehe

sounds like you have a lot going for-sure, but i can tell you have a laid out plan so im sure things will just roll along brother.

very nice …

thanx man… appreciate the support
I forgot to post the pic of the Fruity Pebbles in the last post LOL
Here they are , 7 in total. They are starting to show sex but still a bit early to tell.
Still in the #1 pots but they really need a transplant soon. They got potted into my organic mix so have been just giving them well water and nothing else for the past 2 weeks or so.

got a busy day out in the garden today so i will try and take some pics of most everything.
Some plants are just taking off and it’s time to start getting light dep rolling.
Things are gonna get interesting right quick

Well , I got a whole lotta pics to dump today so won’t do it all at once.
Everything is progressing and the weather much more favorable. It’s crazy how fast some of them are growing now that they are well rooted into thier pots.
I was supposed to flip the first group of plants on the 1st but my parents 50th anniversary and our 16th anniversary is this weekend and I will have to leave the garden for 24 to 36 hours while I make the 5hr road trip to make the party on saturday. So Sunday will be flip day.
I am going to flip the LUI x G13 x3 , 90’s Blues , Shishkaberry B1, Rude Dog, Mikado x Tropicanna Cookies F2 x2, OGKB 2.0 x 2, and a Grape Pie.
As well as all the males I have in the stable… a frosty 90’s blues, fire ogkb f2, lui x g13 x 2, Long valley royal kush x 2 and biker kush x 2 and the ogkb 2.0 clone for reversal.
So let’s get some pics rolling shall we?

Start things off with the group of 8 Biker Kush V1F3 females still in #2 pots. They are a bit slow to take off as they put thier roots down. These aren’t easy or fast to grow by any means but they are adapting well to the organic mix and have bounced back after topping. Transplant soon I’m thinkin.

and the 2 males who have been torture tested to hell LOL. They were laying on thier side out in the yard in the dirt so have dirts and debris on thier leaves. I love the structure on these and will be flowering them out for pollen collection. They are underfed, overwatered and in need of a transplant but throwing stress at them was the idea. The seed pop got whittled down from 30 to 16 males and 14 females … then selected down to these 2 males and the above females.

Next up is the Chem D clone really liking the soil mix and starting to really get growing. I thinned out the bottom growth a bit and she responded with some vigor in the tops which i like to see. With the darkening up of her leaves the variegation is getting a bit harder to see but it’s there.

and Darlin’s Net S1

and next up are two from @Tonygreen 's tortured beans…
Gorilla Bubble Bx2

and Stat Line (fem)

and last one for this post.
Useful Seeds Gorilla Glue (GG4) S1

gonna roll a fatty and get another post going in a few minutes… lots more to share

Always a nice grouping from you. Nice mix. Happy anniversary to you and your folks! Not an easy task, staying with someone that long.

hmmmm what else did I take pics of.
Grape Pie in the 15gallon tote is coming along nicely

and the Grape Pie in the 7 gal is ready to flip. She is one vigorous gal.

GSC clones are coming along nicely… one topped and one not.
One will get flowered in a few weeks and the other will be held as a mother.

Mikado x Tropicanna Cookies F2 from @stanknugzz77 are ready to flip after the weekend. Will try and get a couple snips for clones before then.

OGKB 2.0 in the 15 gallon tote is starting to really go now too. I’ve tied the “top” down to one corner and the other tops to other parts of the frame to get her spread out.

And the old mother getting new life breathed into her in the 18gallon tote. I flattened her out and then a few days later gave her a heavy defoliation below the net.
Will give her another week to get all her tops sorted and oriented and then she will get flipped beffore she gets out of hand.

Lots more pics to drop… stay tuned.

So up next is the Pink Kush

Pre 98 Bubba Kush S1
I really need to stake the corners of the 15 gallon tote she is in and get her spread out and some major defoliation and training. She is basically two plants growing from one root system after topping herself as an emergent seedling. She is going to be a bush and I’m gonna let her veg another 2 or 3 weeks.

up next is the Rude Dog which i’m curing some of now from indoor. Potent stuff!!

and the biggest plant in the greenhouse and pretty much eye ball height in her 18 gallon tote is the 2017 Shishkaberry B-1. Flipping her this weekend… she is gonna be a monster LOL

The two Slurricane’s still in #2 pots but getting upotted this weekend.

yes… there’s more… stay tuned
