Adventures of my first grow

Most farm supply stores will have a good pro mix. When dealing with farm supply stores its best to ask what is the best mixture for growing flowers. Buy a large bag and get on the road fast. They will figure out what you’re doing if you ask too many questions.

the two wont make it because they are in the same pot. you should take down the foil and paint it flat white as it reflects the most.

Planning on it. Should I just leave it white or put foil back over?

You really don’t need, or want, fertilizer until much later in your veg cycle. These plants have gotten this far with minimal fertilization (like, once, with nitrogen bat guano tea). The mistakes most new growers make is over watering and over fertilizing. Patience pays off. Good luck!

). Over time, you’ll learn what a plant that needs fertilizer looks like. The last thing you want to do is over fertilize. It’s much easier to remedy an under-fert situation than an over-fert one.

Quick update excuse poor quality photo.
Plants froze no growth in last week. Going to let the water absorb all in the roots and pick up new pots and soil for the next move. Any advice? Thanks for keeping with my small beginnings to something great.

What size LED is that? Your grow space is the size of a t.v. so i am assuming roughly two feet. Most LED lights need space. CFL lights can be closer and would probably be cheaper for you. This is not my expertise at all so some cab growers need to help you out. The first sign that your Led’s are to close is no growth.

Okay got it thanks man.

Im not sure seems like a miniature mars hydro I have one of those and a grow tent as well.

If your pretty mechanically inclined I would suggest building your own LED lights using cobs from either CREE or Citizen makes an even more power cob for less than Cree but you can build your own using these cobs that will out perform most grow lights. Look up Growmau5 on youtube for some of his builds if you like. If your plants are stunted you might be over watering your plants also it is too soon to be fertilizing them let them grow for a couple more weeks at least then maybe use like a 1/4 strength of fertilizer. If they are stunted you can try carefully re potting the seedlings in a little larger pot with a fresh soil mix with no fertilizer make sure you have good drainage holes in the pots also. Water till a little water runs out the bottom then lift the pots to feel the weight once watered as that is a way to tell if they need water is the pots will get noticeably lighter when they need to be watered. You will get the feel of it after a while .But right now the plants do not have many roots yet and you might be waterlogging them.

I haven’t used LED in at least ten years so keep that in mind. I understand that even for 300 watts you need eighteen inches to a foot between light and canopy. With hid you can cool the room and keep your lights closer but with LED its not the heat but the actual light intensity that freaks the plant out. I hope someone with better experience can explain in more detail.

@G.narly the plant probably needs the soil to dry out so the roots can grow(by searching for water) I would also suggest when it dries to try and water it with mycorrhizae to get the beneficial bacteria going in the root system
