All of the Bodhi gear I've grown in one thread

Thanks, dude, glad you like it. I totally forgot about this thread, probably ought to update it with the other Bodhi stuff I’ve grown in the last year haha. Maybe I’ll do that today.

Off the top of my head I’ve done the Blue Tara and the Silver Mountain.

I didn’t like the Pura Vida.

All the best.

Hey bud, got any notes on the pura vida?? I want to grow a pack of her soon!!

Edit: lol what a coincidence :joy:

I culled her in veg. Nasty hand soap moisturizer smell. Disgusting.

Damn!! Bummy to hear, I was thinking about throwing her outdoors next year, but soapy doesn’t sound enticing

Some people like it very much. Not me.

Holy crap, this whole thread is a straight up Donkeydick & pine cone assembly-line  :metal:

VERY VERY nice work!!

I like you, Foreigner, always get a kick out of your posts, but, I mean… You culled the Blue Taras in veg, never smoked them, yet they suck?

Come on, dude! Haha.

I liked those. There was a decent amount of “phenotypical variation” in the three females I grew, which is always nice. Sometimes I want uniformity, but most of the time I like a little weirdness and differences amongst plants from the same seed line. All three of the ones I grew were good smoke, though, albeit different from one another.

Yeahhhhh, I dunno. I only grew f2’s made by another OG member here, never grown the original hybrid, but I also wasn’t a fan of those plants. Which is weird, because I have really liked HPK when I’ve blazed it.

Who knows? Weed plants are weird… haha.

No no the blue Tara’s were awesome. The 2 I grew were virtually identical. I just found the stem rub on the pura vida revolting and I had other options so it didn’t make the cut.

The silver mountain had a sativa incense flavour with an indica structure

Ah, okay. I didn’t understand… haha.

Still… I don’t cull anything. If the plant turns out female, she’s gettin’ flowered haha. Things change, never know how they’re gonna turn out and all that… I don’t put too much stock into how things look in veg.

Agreed but I like to put myself in the position where I can make choices and that’s just one I made.

Yeah I hear that. I don’t even know, nor wanna count, how many packs of plants I’ve tossed in veg and early flower just over the last 5 years :flushed:

I probably throw away 15 plants per run give or take (including males)

Sure thing, dude! I meant to update it with the latest stuff today, but then I saw that the LA Philharmonic was gonna be performing Beethoven’s 9th at the Hollywood Bowl this Tuesday and got all excited and cranked that symphony outside and swam all day instead haha.

I see you ran a tester lat year with the Big Sur Nigerian in it and said it was “the best smoke ive ever blazed”… Do you remember the effects? More indica or sativa leaning?

Also, did you pick up a pack of the new SS023 (Holy Hand Grenade) with that Nigerian in it? I have one running and I’m loving everything about it so far…which is the reason I’m reaching out.

Thanks! :seedling:

Well, I definitely didn’t say it was the best smoke I’ve ever blazed haha, just because I would never say anything is The Best. I probably said it was some of the best weed I’ve ever smoked, which it was. It was very good.

I don’t think that classifying anything as “Indica” or “Sativa” is an accurate way to describe cannabis. I’ve blazed short, broad-leaf plants that finished in eight weeks that didn’t make me feel sleepy at all (that’s what Indicas do, right? haha) and tall, semi-narrow-leaved, long-flowering plants that made me relaxed as fuck.

But yes, I would say that that Big Sur Nigerian x NL2 was absolutely in the semi-psychedelic “Sativa” category.

I didn’t, but I really wish I had. I’m done buying seeds or even looking at seed bank websites, just because I have more than I can grow in my lifetime already, but I’m very sorry I missed out on that one. I would’ve grabbed it (or anything with that Big Sur Nigerian in it) for sure.

Another member here is planning on doing some work with that Holy Hand Grenade, though. Here’s what I said on his thread when he mentioned it:

“I didn’t even remember what the genetics of that Holy Hand Grenade were, but I just looked it up. You should absolutely plant those, even if you don’t do any breeding with it. I don’t ever throw around the word “special,” but that Big Sur Nigerian x NL2 I tested for Bodhi a while back was pretty fucking spectacular and unique weed. It was special for sure haha.

A friend of mine’s dad had big-time health problems (as all people do when they get to their eighties) and he said that that BSN x NL reeeaallllyyy helped his dad out. I don’t know what specifically was wrong with his father, but after my friend told me how much he was raving about it, I gave him a couple jars and his dad bought me a case of Anderson Valley’s Winter Solstice as a thank you haha. Of all the weed I’d ever given him, that was the one that he told me his dad couldn’t talk enough about.

I’m not saying you’re 80 or anything, zephyr haha, I’m just saying… I thought that that was really interesting, particularly because it was soooo psychoactive, too. I wouldn’t have thought that weed that was that insanely good would also have serious medicinal benefits, but apparently it did for my friend’s dad.

Anything with that Big Sur Nigerian in it… Yeah, grow those seeds.”

So there’s that haha.

Are you logging it? I’ll follow along if you are, definitely curious to see how she turns out for you.
