Macho types who like owning a āscary/toughā dog. Goes with the territory. Commonly seen driving a dodge pickup, walking their cropped ear abomination with a heavy spiked chain down an outdoor mall with lots of predestrians. Itās performative and a proxy for their fragile ego.

@Foreigner tides are turning. Banning them is one of the things your country was 100% right on. Of course they get around it by calling them ālab mixes/terrier mixes/bulldog mix/boxer mix/american bully mix/staffordshire mixā but you guys donāt have it near as bad as we do. I canāt get away from these goddamn things. Chased one out of my yard just the other day. Just what I want to be doing at 9AM on a tuesday, chasing a pitbull with a crowbar. Again. My greatest fear these days is not being around and my wife/kid/dog gets mauled by a pitbull that āsomehow got looseā and āthis has never happened beforeā. Homeowners insurance wonāt cover pits and the owners will just disappear if something did happen.

Weāre not at work,at school,on the job or in a professional setting. So I have no need to try and speak like a scholar. Iām not impressed by those that do. Itās a thinly veiled attempt at making oneās self seem educated and more civilized so to add credence that their viewpoint is correct.
