AMunkFromCupertino Grows Outside 2024

Thanks for the thorough report. To take 6-10 days off the process sounds good but 80F seems too high. I think a room will average like 68°. Haven’t given up on this idea yet.

We’ve got 5 ladies with trace signs of PM, over on one side of the backyard. Being treated with solution in an attempt to get mature seeds. It’s putting up a fight, but a mild one at that.

Vast majority of everything else is getting ready to finish in October. One or three longer running sativas will be with us into November.

Cut some branches off one in the tent that is ready but I’m debating weather it is True OG or another because I can’t read the label at the moment.

Mimosa S1 is looking sativa leaning and is weeks behind everyone else.

Mango Lemon Haze clone is weeks behind too…turning that corner. Leaves yellowing, buds filling out but just starting the process.

SUNDAY, Sunday, SUNday!!!

Sorry, heard those monster truck show ads on the radio a bit much when I was a kid :slightly_smiling_face:

We’re out here on Sunday morning with coffee and some ladies that want attention.

Seeded up and dried outdoors Ice Pixie

Super Silver Haze bulking up

Tangie GAK

Amnesia auto (not haze, as it turns out). Looking crusty! Got some nice mature seeds on her and 4 volunteers that already kicked off the next round for this 3 gallon pot… December harvest(?) for them.

Trimmed a bit up and going into the outdoor mesh dryer

How was the Moroccan lion? I ran Ace Moroccan Beldia and had nothing but multiple pest problems. I have to do a second round of selection.

You summed it up well :slightly_smiling_face:

My first Moroccan, so at least it was a novel experience.

The first ones in the garden to show signs of PM. Caterpillars didn’t seem to take to them but the thrips sure did.

Going to find out what their effect is like by infusing them into butter. They started off looking delicious and shiny, so it makes sense that given a great specimen and the right conditions, they would make some nice hash.

If you ever come across a hybrid that seems to have resolved the pest/disease issues, I’d be curious to have a look.

Had a heat wave the past week or so with temps up to 107F… for the first week of OCTOBER. I mean, the bees are out here dying. Tell me how that’s positive for life.

Not a great setting for harvest season. Since my drying facilities have no cold air generation capabilities, we have to hold off on harvest until the temps drop. Some stuff can’t wait but since it’s seeded, I’ll use it for infusions.

Hopefully that cooler weather starts this week.

One that got some attention yesterday was the Pineapple Express from Barney’s.

How’s the autoflower seed going? @anonymous510

Of the 4 volunteers in my Amnesia auto 3 gallon pot, two of them got to 6 inches before throwing pollen sacks. I think they hit the roots of the adult plant I cut down and that was enough of an impediment for them to flower… dunno but I’m going to try and keep the others going. I’ve got critters digging in the pots but they aren’t messing with the seedlings so far.

Have not started it yet, going to wait a couple days, I will let you know when i start it. The autos i have are feminized so hopefully it all goes smooth…Are your Amnesia auto regular seeds not feminized ?

:+1: I’m curious to hear how it goes.

The Amnesia auto I grew was feminized but I seeded her with a legit male auto (Ice Pixie), so the seeds she made are regular auto seeds.

I keep thinking about the story you told about how you started with your first seedling… makes me laugh :joy:

Harvest season has begun. Out back slicing, dicing, and hanging.

Usually got sticky hands but will get some pics up this week.

Nice, you are going to have a couple pounds.
Start before it rains…

I would have loved to start drying last week but a little late isn’t the end of the world. More bud rot on some in the nets that don’t get as much attention. Saving seeds and removing the rot and anything around it. Realizing I could use a good bud cleaning technique. Seen some on here… The hydrogen peroxide with water soak does a little cleaning but I wasn’t impressed. I’m not willing to try the lemon juice and baking soda method. Guess I’ll just keep smoking bug shit. Some bugs got to some of these lower branches though in such a way that those are being put aside for water curing and blanching before extracting to butter.

Not taking a ton of pics out here this year due to time. Going to be a couple phases to this harvest so maybe the second cutting in a few weeks will get more pics. Most of these plants are a bit ugly due to issues mentioned above which is why they are getting hung first.

Sour Strawberry

Tropicana Cookies …the fuel smell on this is strong… and I’m not aware that this strain is supposed to have that scent so…(shrug, bought as a clone)

BluGlu #4 really excited to test the effects of this one and grow out the seeds to continue the refinement…but I still have reservations about whether it’s a keeper because it did have bud rot and it did have more yellowing than I would like and didn’t defend against bugs as much as I would like.

Looking good, except for the Bud Rot. Sorry for your loss. Did you check the trichomes on some of your plants? If so, how did they look?
