AMunkFromCupertino Grows Outside 2024

Yeah, you win some,… you lose some. I got plenty left to enjoy!

Trichomes are cloudy… 20%+ amber on most of the ones I’m taking down right now.

Mango Lemon Haze …just getting some grooming and back into the netting. A bit longer, but doing relatively good!

Lesson learned with the nets this year… they helped prevent caterpillars… BUT… they caused less sanitary conditions as leaves blow in and lay on the ground… everything in there gets less maintenance because it hurts my back to hunch over and work inside the net… you don’t notice other problems like PM, bud rot, invasive bug infestations like thrips… and makes feeding and foliage sprays harder to implement.

Back to the drawing board.

Got the following drying: SoMango, Sour Tangie 1gal, Sour O, Permanent Market, Tropicana Cookies, BluGlu #4, True OG, Honey Glaze 1gal, Mystery Plant, Grapefruit Deisel

@anonymous510 here are a couple trichome shots of the Grapefruit Deisel as examples …sticky hands lead to less pics during the process and I have more plants this year and am without my helper :slightly_smiling_face:

Looking , Great… :star_struck:  :star_struck:
Where are you drying all your stuff. Garage?

Nah, garage has another project going on.

This year is a bit like … well, like those thanksgivings where you got so many people and food you’re making/serving that everywhere becomes the kitchen. Like, you want a beer…they’re on the patio outback. The wine glasses are on a shelf in the bathroom, the master bedroom is being used to store everyone’s coats…. And the kids have to eat their meal sitting with their backs against the wall in the hallway.

Maybe that’s just how we did thanksgiving in my neck of New England though :man_shrugging:

Anyway, it’s a bit like that. Closets, bathroom, the controversial modified food dehydration machine I’d mentioned, and on twine hanging under the patio overhang outside. The temperature is whatever the temperature is outside and the humidity is whatever the humidity is outside.

Here’s the dry room conditions for the coming week, minus ten degrees Fahrenheit cause they’re in the shade or indoors :slightly_smiling_face:

Humidity will be lower than what you want… but it’s about what we get, here, not what we want.

What was cut during the heat wave and put in the mesh drying racks outside two weeks ago is snap dry today (not two days ago though). So the cooler weather that we’ve been getting since the heat wave disappeared seems to be helping extend the drying process.

Will what’s in them be what’s considered top “dank” craft quality indoor grown cannabis bud with terps that blast your senses into the next galaxy?

Nope.

Am I going for that?

Nope.

Will they be equivalent in quality to something grown outdoors without pesticides in the California sunshine and dried in the shade… and cured until I’m ready to smoke them over the year and collect their seeds?

Yep.

Is that what I’m going for?

Yep.

Procrastination is the mood for today so I took more pics over coffee instead of taking em down.

Then I kinda got to appreciating them and the birds flying around and bathing… so I poured myself a glass of Pinot Grigio and packed my grinder.

The hawks will be out hunting over head soon! Very fun to watch.

I’ll get back to the work after my lunch break :joy: It’s the style of my ancestors. Vino and we’ll resume at 3 PM after a little nap.

Blackberry Wine 69 x Sweet 16

Bubba Kush - PM problems persist. I sprayed and defoliated her (not in that order) after these pics … will bath her in hydrogen peroxide mix before hanging …not today, maybe this week

Shuntz

Sour Tangie S1

Blue Dream Bx F2 - this one is getting rotting buds but the Trichomes aren’t overly mature.

Zkittles 26 x HP13

Super Lemon Haze

One week later.

The second Aruba x Everything had two colas go bad. Several on Blue Dream. I was too slow getting them hung up. Lots of seeds and I’m far from disappointed in this years results. Mango Lemon Haze and Super Silver Haze still finishing. Everything else is drying or dried and going into curing process.

This season is a wrap.
