Any guitarists here ? I’m a jam band guy myself

Thank you @Slick1 , she’s a looker for sure. I had one originally that had much more of a sunburst.
Then I noticed a little irregularity on the edge. Took it back to the store and then they tell me it got kicked over and they repaired the finish :face_with_monocle::angry::hushed:
So found this one and they replaced it, and it’s a semi hollow vs the original which was not, that’s a win win for me.
And she sounds like budda of course

For some reason I want to make a little basic solid state tabletop guitar amp with a 5 1/2" car speaker. Maybe 5W out, with a preamp that may have a nod from the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret. I would like reverb in it, or maybe delay. I would have gone tube but I want a sealed enclosure for it and the tubes with a sealed cabinet for the speaker would make it a little bigger and I hardly have room on my desk as is.

Check out this site for some ideas,

I built a couple of the projects. The Little Gem is surprisingly loud for almost 1 watt.

Actually made a little amp with that chip in the late 80-90’s with a 5" speaker that a buddy used to use for busking. Had three packs that held four AA’s. It was only suppose to use two packs with regular batteries and three with Nicads. He goes and put the switch to Nicads with regs. Didn’t blow so what do I know? Eventually someone stole it on him and he bugged me to make another one. Built it but I ended up with it. I want something that can do a little more clean’s with decent tone controls.

Check out the Yamaha THR10C for a small desk sized mini amp. plenty loud and has several amp models to choose from. Plus you can put batteries in it if you like to take it on the go. Bunches of presets and onboard effects. And you can go online with it and download extra stuff. Pretty cool little amp and its only about a foot long or so, and about 6 inches tall .
The little speakers in there are really impressive too. Check it out on youtube.

You are missing the point. I don’t ‘need’ an amp, I need to build something new. Do not want something that big either, if I did I would go tubes. I have a perfectly good amp two feet from me, but it is on the floor! That is enough reason to build this. I have enough projects to finish but none that will be finished in a short period of time, this is more like instant gratification.

I’d like to plug into that yamaha th… it is always recommended in amp threads… Almost finished this today. She gets tubes tomorrow, and a test drive!

Nice. I have never built an amp. Nice clean work.
I only have store boughts.
A Marshall DSL 40C
A Fender Blues Jr. Tweed with the Jensen Speaker.
The Yamaha THR10C which I use mostly because my tube amps required me using the Volume and gain before the sound starts breaking up like I like. If all my neighbors are gone, I usually use the Marshall and hook up a Les Paul to it, Crank that bitch up and wail on her.

How do I ship a guitar from California to Canada British Columbia

Thanks sounds like a pain in the ass, well she’s only a kid and don’t want her hit with custom fees lol

It’s the same as sending something from the uk to California you have to pay custom fees as well

You ever thought about a Hot Plate pedal or something that pushes it without having to crank the volume?

Send it to me and I’ll handle it for you

In the guitar case, detuned with an other guitar box. Packing peanuts or similar to fill the voids. That is how I have shipped in the past.

I’ve shipped handpans all over the world but never a guitar

Taylor Koa acoustic is my go to, but I love a sweet sounding acoustic, amplified or not.
