I’ve been seeing Phish since 1992. A long time ago I figured out that I was not cut out to be a musician… so I became a taper instead. I’ve seen all those guitarists you listed, and have recorded hundreds of concerts over the years.

I met Paul as a result of playing a lot of gigs in Vermont . He built me that guitar in 2002 … A taper hey ? Mad respect . I love Phish . Only show I’m seeing this summer is Atlantic City …

Bunch o’ other gits and amps as well - actually use a Johnny Marr Jag as my #1 - but I do like to play the LP.

I spy a pre CBS Blackface Deluxe ! Killer amp !
Yup! 1963 on the left, 1965 on the right.
The brownie was always my fave… but I had the blackface serviced about 1 year ago and it’s just too beautiful to not play. It’s my daily amp for the last bit.
Edit - for gear geeks like you and I it is unfortunately not pre-CBS but right at the transition… if only it were a few months younger. Ultimately I’m sure the components and circuit are the same as pre-CBS… just says “musical” instead of “electric”

The guild is late 60’s
The dean who knows I have one more dean and a cigar box for fun
Play slide mainly now arthritis in the fingers
Eatables help but fingers hate me anymore
