Was a member on the original forum from around late summer of 2000 until they took it down. That site gave lots knowledge and wisdom. Started out as Cajun_Ragin and then had the mods change it to Catahoula after a feared security breech. Started out with a 250 hps single plant grow and eventually moved up to 1650 watt eight station Recirculating DWC system.

Haven’t grown in years, life happens… Still have all the equipment though but not the time…

Associated with several other members back in the day… Tripnoncid, Midwestbluntman, SunDMC, Bodhi, Wolvern, and several others I can no longer remember…

Joined Icmag when it stared (before they took down OG) but never participated really, it was not the same… Was active on Tokecity and reconnected with a few OG members there for a while before life took over…

So good to see the site starting up again! I learned so much here in the early years of the Millennium before the site was pulled down and certainly look forward to slowly regaining my growing chops under the tutelage of another generation of high-end growers. I still have my trusty 400w HPS array and lots of legacy beans in storage. It’s great to see how advanced the art form has become via the pictures here. Such amazing buds! I agree that the Karma feature should not be reinstated and hope to contribute whatever material I have archived from the original site. Cheers to all aboard!

Yep! I found the original site one day back in 99 when I was 15 and after seeing an older friend grow a plant from a random seed that sprouted in a crack in my driveway I wanted to see how it was all done the right way. I remember a whole journal that a guy did a single soil grow beside a home made hydro bucket and also had a full guide on how to make the bucket system out of cheap things from lowes etc. I just remember the picture of the fat monster hydro buds over shadowing the soil plant and I thought it was the greatest thing ever! Sadly I never completed his build and didn’t try growing until years later. I’m in the middle of my first indoor grow besides a few half ass outdoor grows that i let take care of themselves. Lastnight completely random thought “hmm, I’m going to see if anyone has brought over grow.com back” not expecting it to be here…and here it was! It was ordained that I return to overgrow! Haha much love fellow enthusiasts, keep them hands in the dirt!!

I just remembered it was the guy who was always growing in bubble buckets and growing huge buds always. Can’t remember his username for the life in me, but he was very popular and knew what he was doing for sure! I think I may still have his guide printed out and saved somewhere… will search for it!

That must have been @highgrade! :slight_smile: His article in one of the first issues of Overgrow Magazine changed my view of hydroponics. It couldn’t be easier to build and maintain and results (speed of growth and yield) were simply amazing! :tophat:

Joined OG back in 02’/03’ Was HashBar then also except the name may have been spelled with an i3 for the B in bar ya know to be creative an chit. Was a paid subscriber, had a FAT karma bar and was lucky enough to meet a few members in Amsterdam in 04’. One was Bonguru who worked at Gypsy’s Seeds Direct in Amsterdam. Bonguru.also had a small mural outside the shop reminding us all to Overgrow the World!

Had to dig through some old pics to find these. Oh, if we only had iphones back then.

i joined overgrow.com in 1999-right at the beginning-and fell in love with the all the knowledge flowing out of the site-from breeding, pest control, nutrient needs/deficiencies, lighting, etc…and tried to build every DIY project introduced by members-from aerocloners to DWC buckets and many many versions of the first stealth cabinets produced. I’ve mentioned it previously, I contributed to the “new server fund” when overgrow.com started to bloom with members-for whatever its worth, I remember ~shabang was blown away–I wrote a check-lol…I still have two overgrow.com t-shirts ~shabang was pushing with his motto ‘stop smoking schwag’ printed on them. I remember most of the big timers, and was fortunate enough to get in on some early strains and learned a ton of shit from some great people.

well hello OG.

I was fatboy on OG. fatboyOGOF at ICmag. Fatboy was my hooka! :slight_smile:
I followed ~S~ from his old place and joined just after he came aboard.

I stopped growing about 3 years ago after 20 years of 4 crops a year. I’m a medical cannabis user these days. I’m now paying $300 for stuff that cost me peanuts before. duh!

If we legalize next time around, i’m growing out some of the dozens of genetics i’ve made F2s of.

I’m one of the guys who got the bros grimm apollo 13 and cinderella 88 genetics and bred them stupid.

i tell people about the Bros. and how i got a few C88’s (mostly F1’s) and they refuse to believe me…also got some original C99s and tripped out the first time i smoked that strain…it was revolutionary at the time…anyone seen BOG lately, I miss those robe and vacuum cleaner photos–i emailed subcool a few years back, but he never responded…

I’m glad you’re back online. I was Dambugz back in the day. More of a lurker than a poster. I was upset when you shut down. I learned almost everything I know from OG. Looking forward to the new OG.
