Low pressure, which causes the “widow maker” to overheat (220v heating element commonly used for hot showers in central america), deform the shower head therefore giving you warm water that tingles or might kill you, or you take cold showers, is annoying Saving grace, its warm enough there that cold showers aren’t too bad, but no matter how ya cut it, cold showers at 6 am sucks,.
Yeah I have a hot water tank, not heat on demand if thats what you’re referring to.
I am about to start doing cold showers to boost my immune system as part of the Wimm Hoff breathing technique.
At the moment I do wash under warm then go cold, then back to warm, then back to cold, like doing a sauna and cold plunge.
Now I don’t freeze my ass off all day working outside in the Canadian winters, I have noticed my immune system is not as good as it was. Having your eye lids freeze together when you blink is not much fun though lol.
lol, was referring to my shower in Honduras LOL. It’s on demand alright. Death on demand! (widowmakers are not like modern on demand heaters). First time you feel a tingle, you GTFO… hit the breaker. Very common for low pressure to cause them to overheat, deform and shock people.
Cold water isn’t that cold, its like tepid, there Never was a cold water shower fan, but I learned to accept them there.
Not fun at all lol. My eyelids get stuck together all the time at work. One time they stuck so bad I needed someone to help me find my way inside. I didn’t know cold helped with immune system thats pretty cool!
The first year we came to Canada it was Feb, I went out the door with wet hair after taking a shower, not realizing how cold it was, and my hair froze solid before I got to the car 40 yds away lol, its a weird feeling having your hair crack when you try and bend it.
Just seeing this now
Does anyone think it was an attempt at a homemade water hammer to stop the pipes from banging ie: ice maker or sprinklers come on?
It might have been that, after I disconnected it, the shower head would drip water for several minutes now and again, like the valve was not fully shut of. Someone else’s problem now the house is sold lol.
Yeah every time I drive back to the along the shore line, its so beautiful here, I just think to myself how lucky we are.
The flower beds, tree’s and bushes around the house are constantly surprising us, e ery couple of weeks new flowers are appearing.
I have been taking pics of whats coming up so we know next year what to expect, there are lots of wild flower stuff as well as ornamental. I will post the pics on my grow thread.
