Could you just cut a piece of aloe stick the seed in the goo to sprout?
Ooops, I did not know it was above, ya burnt!
Its above @ShiskaberrySavior , and yes thats what we do.
I’ve honestly never tried the water soaking or paper towel method. I just sow them straight into the soil. I’m gonna have to expand my techniques for sure!
I’ll have to give it a try I do take and use a rolling pin squish all the goo out of the leaves and water the plants they really like that .
There is a current thread by an obviously adept grower:
He is similar to who I work with, emphatic organic genius.
Just like you @ShiskaberrySavior
You should try a fermented plant product, easy to do collect leaves mark what week they were collected in add em1/lacto brown sugar and leave with a coffee filter on (single layer of paper towel is actually best) leave to ferment. Works insanely well , great as a foliar to boost things, won’t throw off soil npk ratios if used this way either. Definitely best to use sucanant but demerara is close but any organic brown sugar works.google the exacts it’s super available info. Use the fermented berries or fruit for flower cycle sounds scary but the microbes will prevent molds, it’s safe
Idk about genius haha but definitely dedicated and passionate well I guess you could say obsessed . Still just over a year of no till experience but lots of organics experience using earth juice and bio can and even general organic the frauds lol. And of course lots of odds and ends and almost every tea kit out there previous to 2015. Thanks for the kind words tho my friend
Your plants speak volumes. I’m using Foop, two years now. twenty five years of everything you ever heard of…lol Before that. Liking it.
Haha you started about a year before me ,the 90s were a different time for sure.all we had were the classic Amsterdam strains at the time.i started my first crop with a 150 w HPS and a ton of florescent grow bulbs and a single white Russian clone I got from the local bikers (along with the 150w HPS and George’s first English version of his book) all for 150$ best money I have ever spent!
Memories color my mind.
Something a guru on fireside theater used to say.
I’m gonna get so good at this. Thanks for all this great info! (slow motion flying chest bump like Milli Vanilli)
Nice! Me too. I’m a big fan of centennial seeds, so I’m going to use BaOx as well. I want to start by crossing it with my Syrian/Lebanese hybrid, and if it works out, an auto of afghan and Hindu Kush lineage.
Those are beautiful.
Gonna try your aloe trick next time I try popping black snows, got like a 20% germ rate for me in the paper towel
If you can get some tm7 that will also help drastically on the germination rate. Works kinda like coconut water to soften things up also all the micros and humics one needs for a strong start. Sure keeps everything even too 20 seeds all at same stage exactly great for side by side comparison on a pheno hunt, I cull the slow ones
Crap srry my friend I didn’t realize I was still on your thread lol. My bad (I float around too much, always in a rush to get the posts out as fast as possible lol
