Anyone live/work in Las Vegas?

I agree with blendmedman, Fremont St is more fun and more interesting than the strip. The strip is pretty lame, never really understood the appeal (of course, I never really understood the appeal of Vegas in general). The strip is Disney World, Fremont St is a little… dirtier haha. And if you plan to do some gambling, you definitely wanna hit up Fremont St, they have single and two-deck blackjack, as opposed to the six+ decks that casinos on the strip play with.

This is a rich persons play land.
Don’t get me wrong you can still have a blast.but I think everywhere things are over priced atm.
but if you’re rich and have the money to screw around with then Vegas is definitely one of 3-5 spots to be…

I can assure you that if I was wealthy, Vegas is one of the last places I’d wanna go haha…

Yeah, I’d pay big money to go hang in the woods for a while.

I dunno about that haha, but I mean… Vegas? It’s just a bunch of hotels with casinos on the first floor and hordes of tourists with fanny packs and kids in tow.

There is no real city here at all. It doesn’t produce anything, no huge noncasino businesses, no real downtown hell the hotels are the biggest thing. It was started as a adult play ground in private and could easily laundry money. Now it’s a money grab all around. The whole city is based on tourism. No tourism and Vegas will crumble. Fremont experience is the way to go especially after dark. There is some alright free stuff. Don’t go to mob museum and zac bagans haunted house I don’t think is open lots of scandle.

When I lived there, I didn’t do many of the “adult playground”: type things because I moved there for other reasons. The great thing about Vegas is the people that you meet. It is constantly changing and most people are looking for a good time or in a good mood. The ones that grew up there are some of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. Just sitting at a bus stop or at a random shithole bar can suddenly develop into an actual movie type adventure very quickly or it could devolve into loneliness and chaos. It really is all about the attitude. Everywhere you look, something is going on.

No matter what things may happen, the intense sunlight will keep you in good spirits.

So much for that idea… Fuck Ticketmaster.

3 times i clicked on a pair of seats, doing so i was under the impression were reserved as you filled out payment. Only to get to the end and be notified they were no longer available. Fuck Ticketmaster.

Could only sit back and watch blocks of seats being claimed one after another. No doubt resellers. Fuck Ticketmaster.

Only single seats spread around the arena. Fuck Ticketmaster.

Wasted my time… Fuck Ticketmaster.

Appreciated the input in this thread, honestly. And Fuck Ticketmaster…

hey I’m Vegas there is a vegas.com for entertainment. you can usually get way better prices through them. Also don’t forget that the beginning of October is really the start of convention season. This is what really pulls the $$ in for the city so ALL prices are way higher from beginning of October until new years eve. I think because of holidays obviously but the Temps are finally bearable enough to walk around anytime.
