Anyone use either of these as a timer?

Does it guess when you want the schedule to run? Ah OK 1.19pm I think I’ll turn on and run one of those 3 schedules?! Now your asking for programming. Unless you don’t care when it turns on.

I do, it’s a programmable power strip, and I can turn plugs on and off from my phone. I run pumps and sometimes they irritate me so I turn them off during family time.
My lights have their own timers built in. They are managed via the same app

The timers are pretty simple as it is and they provide options. Maybe some people want to finish on 11/13 instead of 12/12. I feel like the digital timer is far more complicated than a pin style timer a ton of people use.

Being offgrid, I use to use the mechanical timers, but they don’t sync up well with generator power. I would lose about 5 minutes a day and end up having to adjust the timers about once a week.
The digital timers never skip a beat.

Now that I have inverters and a LiFePO4 battery bank, I could go back to the Mechanicals.

I Honestly dont care when it turns on and goes off. So that isnt a concern for me. As long as it runs the proper number of hours that is my only concern.

Honestly wish I could afford lights like that. Maybe someday.

I get that, and for those who want all those options, that is great, I personally prefer simplicity. 3 buttons, the 3 most common schedules, ONE button press to change between them. Dont get much simpler than that.

They are unavailable right now, of course, but I got them for $40 during a sale.
