You most certainly can use coc coir instead of Sphagnum peat moss, but peat has a higher CEC and doesnt bind to calcium and magnesium like coco coir can. I would do something like this:

1 part coco coir/peat
1 part high quality (vermi)compost
1 part aeration (pumice, rice hulls, perlite, etc)

Then for each cubic foot ammend with
1/2 cup neem/karanja meal
1/2 cup kelp meal
1/2 cup lobster/shrimp meal
1 cup malted barley powder
1 cup gypsum
1 cup oyster shell flour
2 cups glacial/bassalt/granite rock dust
6-8 cups biochar

what would be target ph range for this mix 6.8?

Not sure, never tested the pH of this mix. It’s basically the Clackamass Coots mix with added barley and biochar. Between the oyster shell flour and the crab/lobster/shrimp meal, it should buffer close to 7.

Must be good because I fight to get water/nut ph down to 6.6/8 and stay. Checked the run off tonight at 5.8

I do. I top dress with them. I prefer to leave the dry nutes alone late in flower and stick to the Roots 5mL Master Pack and water.

Organic soil iimight be changing my mind togo with coir

would like to get faster growth with better yield but with my brain injury 1 wrong mix up on nutes plants or dead.

I had so many problems with soil, pH ups and downs, not able to measure what is in the soil, fungus gnats, overwatering; it was a nightmare.

I started to grow on coco 100% and all my problems dissapeared! Good luck on your decision!
