Auto Bloody Skunk X's

I decided to dig through the ol seed stash to find good weed to grow. Ended up with 1 Auto Ducksfoot fem, 4 Auto Bloody Skunk fem from Sept. 2020 batch, auto Northern Lights fem, Sour Bubble Ryder bx reg and a bunch of Auto Duck Bx reg seeds from early 2021. The seeds were old only six duck bx germinated. Those were planted along with one 00seeds auto NL fem and 2 Master Wonder Skunk fem from BearHill. These will go in the 3x3

2x2 is going to be one auto Duck and 3 Bloody Skunk. Sour Bubble Ryder may squeeze into the 2x2 or 3x3 either way there is room.

For the 3x2 planted 6 Bananacane and 2 Royal Jelly fems from In House Genetics 12/12 from seed.

Hoping to STS a Bloody Skunk to cross with everything.

How long after STS application does pollen start dropping? From what I’ve read STS should be applied to the female plant one week before flower then once every week until pollen drops 3-4 weeks later??? Is this right?

My goal is to reverse one of 4 Bloody Skunk autos planted today. Assuming I start spraying on week 4 how long until male flowers form?

I need to harvest the plants by a deadline set for June 21st with the exception of 4 or 5 seed plants. I hollowed out a dresser to store plants in during inspection.

Not all have surfaced and some were planted today so it’ll be a few days before everything is sprouted.

I decided to do an experiment. In an old book Ed Rhosenthal said you can dry weed for a few days then stick the bud it in a frost free freezer to dry the rest of the way via sublimation (evaporation defroster). This process will dry the weed the rest of the way.

One person on a forum was asking for info about this and the first reply was that the buds would get all mushy once thawed out.

So on the 27th of last month I harvested the Gorilla Gold 2 buds and put them right into the freezer no pre-dry time at all. 6 days later I removed a bud let it set out on the counter. Low and behold it did not turn to mush! It is somewhat dry but not completely yet.

The buds were put in a paper bag rolled up and placed in the freezer right off the plant. It appears to have worked.

I apply STS every 4 days, it’s only effective for 4-5 days and when femming i don’t allow the STS to wear off confusing the plant on what to do. Otherwise i say you’re spot on. Pollen sacs take about 3 weeks to form, usually, and start dropping week 4/5

Where’d you get Bloody Skunk from originally? I got a 3pack of them from Sweet Seeds and the 2 I’ve grown have been rather disappointing, maybe they don’t like DWC.

Hey man thanks for the info. I’ll probably end up dusting the ladies with a Duck bx male instead of bloody skunk. The extra 3 weeks are too much time unfortunately. Then again who knows how fast the bloody skunks are there could be a 4 week pheno that would work.

I probably purchased the bloody skunk from northatlanticseed.com/ can’t remember for sure since it was years ago.

Found some seeds that didn’t crack when squeezed between my fingers so maybe I’ll get one or two to germinate.

When flipping autos I’ve always started the plant to be treated a month earlier if I have the seeds. If not I treat as soon as i see the start of flowering and hope there is enough time. Usually people cut as soon as possible and don’t realize that the plant still has a couple weeks left in her after she is first “ripe” so seeding one out, if you can control the pollen, should still be an option.

You’re saying there is time? Here is a basic timeline. 4 to 6 weeks veg 3-4 weeks for pollen sacks to develop and 4 to 5 weeks for the seed to fully develop? That is like 10-15 weeks. hmm it could be possible if timed right.

So yet again I had an issue. Long story short the landlord had new high speed internet cables put into the apartment. They had to tear into the walls which meant the plants had to go again. ugh will this never end.

I’m pissed because bloody skunk was my last purple auto besides Jem.

You can tighten up the times a little bit…
Shorten the veg time to 3~4 weeks, 3 weeks flower, pollinate & 5 weeks seed development.

…and good luck with your landlord…
