Roots are through the bottoms of the grow bags I pull em out of place and its a death sentence for em, everything is hitting the roof and thats 10 ft tall lol could u imagine trying to bring those indoors with my 8 foot ceilings haha
The problem isn’t having the fans, I’m having a tough time finding placement they aren’t beating the shit out of plants, with all the bushness out there having it all stuffed to the brim I am realistically thinking I did actually go a Lil to big this year
that photo of the door to your greenhouse is a little bit ridiculous, lolol! but it looks like you’re doing a good job of trimming your lowers.
however you still have to think about the future. you’ve got another what, 6-8 weeks of flower? how much more growth are you expecting? have your ladies been through most of their early flower spurt already? so if you defol now, are you good for the future or will you just face this issue again later on.
i wouldn’t want to cut down any of your ladies, since you don’t know what they’ll smoke like. you might be killing a keeper. i’d rather lose branches and give up yield before i tossed a good flowering plant if i didn’t know what it smoked like yet.
question, is it totally a death sentence if you move the plants and ripped the roots? what if you cut back the foliage to match what’s left of the roots? i suppose you’d lose so much growth and bud that it may be better in your mind to just kill the plant entirely. i’m not sure, just curious.
Most are through majority of the stretch and can clearly see the bud sites and how big they are gonna be, honestly time will tell but I think to actually get up to the higher stuff without getting a ladder in there is gonna be my biggest challenge, if I get big ass dense nugs filling the space then the mold risk won’t be on the leaves but rather the crop
That’s kinda what I’m considering just thinning it out that way and still getting a decent amount of variety, better to have some than none at all and these plants giving proper conditions would prob yield well over a lb each, even half that is a shitton of smoke for the year.
Reason I would consider knocking down the 3 is to open up top canopy bending the sides to the center and being able to get a ladder in there
Since they are entering flowering stage this is the most sensitive time for those ladies u don’t want to disturb anything cuz they aren’t in veg and easily able to recover and if they came out permanently the winds here would destroy them since they have been under same non brutal conditions everyday not having to adapt to it
last possibility for those three in the center, can you cut them down in size and move them indoors? would that be too much of a transition? if not, then i think you’ve got all the information you need to make your most informed decisions.
I’d have to completely chop the tops and 30 gallon is heavy haha it can be done but then I gotta decide to either throw em back in veg or figure out a way to set timers for flower, since I don’t wanna worry about light leaks everything indoor is 24hr
it seems that removing the center three is going to be important for long term maintenance in your greenhouse. so the most logical thing seems to be to prep your three in the center for moving indoors, while you work on trimming the rest of the plants in your greenhouse back as much as you need to. that should help with your mold issues. maybe look into the labs, but do you have any on hand? otherwise you’d have to make some or pick some up.
after trimming, if you’re feeling up to it then move the three indoors. otherwise if that’s feeling like too much work, what’re the biggest clones you can take from the three? it’d be a shame to have to start too far back with them, but if it’ll help save all your plants, that would make the most sense to me.
Well I think an extreme defoliation is the main course of action and is likely only for the short term, this is just part of the learning lessons figuring out the limitations and I’ve def pushed the limits
Nothing on hand but leaving the door open is bringing in that breeze since we’re getting a windy and rainy storm rolling in so hopefully it just brings fresh air to the stagnant spaces in the meantime, Def gonna be looking into picking some up asap with the LAB
that’s def something to consider is take the loss on mommas and just take some clones and fit em in with the indoor ladies with em only in 10 gallon
For sure but it’s definitely been fun watching the jungle show.
I was going to second the LABS as I had read a few times about its use with mold. I haven’t used it for mold but did try it as a foliar spray and scorched all the leaves but it was only because I did not heed the dilution rate of 1:1000.
Looking like it’s going to be wet here for a while now so hoping you’re able to get the issue in check.
Lower Temps are an excellent thing to see cuz I can safely just leave the door open on the greenhouse while I get my week of defoliations done, cutting the water pump on the swamper and just leaving the blower full time now until further notice
Well I’m pretty sure my entire garden is gonna be dead by the end of the day, power been out since 4 am and not expected to be restored till 530 pm, greenhouse is getting hot as fuck and not a damn thing I can do to get the hot air out or get air circulation and just gotta sit back and let it happen, been an interesting year watching em grow but this isn’t the happy end of the season to look forward to this year
I live an hour from main towns and with travel it just wouldn’t do any good, I’m gonna do an emergency watering to try to keep the roots cool but really about all I can attempt
well, sorry to hear that. i hope your babies can pull through. looks like you guys are in the 100degrees this week, yikes! how are y’all expected to survive in that heat without power?
It’s been rough, 103 with 30% minimum humidity, they have the fire station open for a cool off shelter but doubt they would like me showing up with my 4 huskies and a bunch of plants lol this is just freaking insane they couldn’t get it restored since 4 am and letting an entire town push into the heat of the day
Well got all the roots saturated and here’s current condition, noticing some drooping but leaves aren’t appearing to be dying yet so maybe there will be some hope
