Badger goes camping with his buddies

I like to seal it in a container with a dessicant.

For a few years I used one of these (sterilite gasket tote)

with one these (rechargeable closet dehumidifier)

That setup is cheap and works really well. Now I have a lab dessicator and use bulk color changing silica beads, like what’s inside the closet dehumidifier. Usually it takes about 2-3 days to get all the water out and the humidity below 15%. I think the bulk silica does a better job though, because you can get a lot of it for $10-15. When it turns color, just take it out and put it in the oven and bake the water off.

Good to know, I have some cut stems in a cup of water, they are dropping pollen on a sheet of glass.

Is 50F too low? @Shadey we just got hit with a layer of ice , now getting followed up by snow(as seen above) so that closet is now empty but has dropped to an even 50 degrees. I got plants beggin for a chop. But I’m hesitant because I’ve never experienced temps this low inside.

It will definitely slow the plants and bacteria down in the soil, so long as they dont freeze they will keep going. I dont think it will make any difference chopping them in cold temps though.

I’m sorry I should’ve specified… are they alright to dry in those temperatures?
My flower tent is low 70s, high 60s this late in flower. :ok_hand: @Shadey

I try to keep temp and humidity at 60 for 2 weeks dry times . Even cooler won’t cause troubles other than extend the dry time a bit .

As Shiskaberry says it will just take a little longer, but that’s better than too fast :+1::wink:

Here are a few pics. I’m gonna have pollen too late with the unexpected early flowering of the females, but I have a plan, kinda. I’m gonna get a rechargeable gunsafe dehumidifier today, if still in stock, and save the pollen until I can get some clones into flower. The ppp 1 is starting to show some purple, ironic. :joy:

The blue kush is definitely winning the frosty award so far.

The last couple of times I tried making seeds I have had the same problem with getting pollen to late, so my next attempt I will flower the males 2-3 weeks before the females.
