Sun’s on it’s way down, almost time to give the girls the weekly dose or enzymes, vitamins and hormones. A fun little fact is the coconut is actually an embryo so the water from a young coco is literally full of life :coconut: :muscle:t4:

Purple Kush starting to throw some pistils

Even though I’ve never grown this strain it’s very nostalgic to me, the 13 or so years while I lived in Europe every 3 to 4 months I’d visit Amsterdam and the Grey Area always stocked Chocolope, it’s the perfect morning smoke… as we say in Australia I’m ‘frothing out’ for this to finish

I would buy cans of coconut water from the dollar store to mix with feeding my outdoor plants.

Hello man, I also found you, your place is really cool, your soil configuration, your genetic diversity … I was close to mine in Ecuador, the sun is really scary …

I found it interesting, do you use rice husk, which I have available.
is your husk charred?

Nice thread. I guess I’m gonna have to add it to the like 30 that I’m already watching… My girlfriend and I have been talking about maybe moving to another country, even though we love CA. How do you like it down there? What’re the cannabis laws like? That’s the main thing for me, is going someplace where I can grow without fear of going to prison. Even if it’s not technically legal, as long as it’s tolerated, I’m fine with that.

Also, you grow organically, right? You don’t have any problems with lollipopping those plants like that? I always just let my plants grow, pretty much water-only for the duration. I top them once but that’s it, mostly because I like to leave those lowers on there so the plants have some juice when they get five, six, seven weeks into flower. I’d like to lollipop them, but I feel like they’d run out of gas near the end.

I do use organic rice husks my friend, I use it a ratio of 1/3 to my soil mix… the rest is 1/3 worm castings, 1/3 sphagnum peat moss. It is great for aeration but also the rice husk can contain up to 30% lignin and 20% silica. I get 50lbs for $10 so perlite got the boot a while ago.

Mine is not charred just dried and cured

I also use it as a top mulch

I just sent you a message to your inbox mate, happy to help with anything :call_me_hand:t4:

Yeah the ‘lollipopping’ is only from taking clones not from a deliberate style of training, I’m 100% in agreement that the more leaves all the way to the end the better. I have size and sun restrictions so working with a few obstacles that’s for sure. Wish I could grow the 8 pounders like I used to in NorCal haha, one day soon hopefully

Been a couple of weeks since I updated nothing happens fast round here especially with only 3hrs of direct light, been raining this week which never happens in April so la niña is definitely making this year a weird one weather wise… maybe with the cold nights my Purple Kush starts to show some color

Chocolope is coming down today, pistils say no but trichomes say yes, been almost 10 weeks in flower meant to finish in just over 8… almost feel like the Thai lineage wanted to go longer being in it’s natural climate.
