Good for you. I smoked a lit of joints when I quit cigarettes. It definitely helped replace the behavior when drinking or hanging out with friends who smoked.

Hell yeah! Tobacco is a no no! I kicked that years ago. Smoking weed def helps kicking those bad habits. It helped me really cut back drinking and now I only have a beer/margarita at a restaurant or when I’m pregaming a phish/goose/whatever show.

Need to find something to help with the munchies now though.

Tent is banging!! I have a couple packs of the SSDDbx so I’m excited to see how those turn out. We need to get up and trade some finished product sometime!

Ah nice! I’m on day 5 of the patch, trying to quit my ecig. It’s rough but you can make it through it!

I quit cigs cold-turkey twice for over a year each time but went back. I just like the whole process of smoking :man_shrugging: I switched to vaping ecig’s at the end of 2011. I did that for 7 years or so before trying to quit cold-turkey. Turns out that was a bad idea as I had legit panic attacks (I’ve never had any before). I thought I was dying or had cancer or something and this was my body telling me. I went to the doctor to get checked out and he told me to go back to vaping :joy: try and cut down or something(never works).

Year or so later I tried to quit again using off-brand patches and nicotine gum and I managed to quit vaping, but I ended up with a bubble gum addiction instead. I was legit buying cases of trident to feed the itch and realized I wasn’t saving any money nor could it be that good for my teeth… So I went back to vaping again  that was a couple years ago. After covid wrecked my lung capacity and its around again… still struggling to breathe… decided it was time to try again. This time I bought the name-brand patches (nicodermcq) as I found the offbrand time-release doesn’t actually work very well. So far so good 5 days in :crossed_fingers:

Hopefully you’re experience is easier than mine have been lol

This book has been helping me immensely. This is the second time I’ve read it. First time I read everything but the last chapter. Big chicken!

I tried gum, lozenges, patches, sleep hypnosis, and Chantix. Fuck Chantix! This book has helped more than any of the others!

I have that one too. It really was effective… Until it wasn’t. But that’s on me obviously :flushed:

A heroic dose and intentionally thinking about my habits helped me quit cold turkey.

The hardest part though for real was the social aspect to me with smoking.

I Started around 15 with a can of Copenhagen stolen from my dad, puked that up with a quickness(it was snuff), then dipped various tobaccos till the military where I started smoking, got out and took my trip, at 25~ I can’t remember exactly and haven’t looked back.

I do have a cigar with others about once a year on holiday.

Good luck to you. I believe you can do it! :peace_symbol:

Hell ya bud, things are looking great over there! Lol I have been doing the same thing on and off in my bed when cutting branches off. Just randomly place a few of them into the soil under the plant. I think I have a tiny one that lived heh.

Good going fellas, toss them death sticks heh. I have been off cigs for around 4 years. Granted I am vaping Ejuice that I make myself, but at least I feel 20x better than I ever did when smoking cigs heh.

Hold strong fellas! :fist:

So. Do. I.

And I like drinking, too. I can’t imagine drinking without smoking. I mean, I’d love to quit smoking, just because of

It goes against all of my instincts to support Big Tobacco, Big Industry, Big Lobbyists, Big Anything. But I really do enjoy smoking.

I’ll quit. One day. Hopefully sooner, rather than later…

Plants look good, btw, @BeagleZ haha.

Good on you all, I quit years ago before my daughter was born, haven’t looked back since. The pride I feel knowing I kicked it is more than I would have expected. Y’all can do it for sure

Thought I’d stop smoking too. Got some Frunto beans from Bodhi courtesy of @highminwin. Now considering treating it like cannabis, only smoke what I grow/know. Heard this B stuff is really strong though…

Grateful to have found this community. OG over big capitalistgreeddisguisedasgood.
Peace

What’s on your holy grail strain list @BeagleZ maybe we can track it down and offer it up as incentive for you to stay tobacco free

Post it later, dude! I may have it haha. And I’m… well, not necessarily trying to thin out my collection, but I do occasionally send out packs that people are interested in that I know I won’t be growing out any time soon.

You can’t have any of the Big Sur Holy Weed f2’s or crosses, though haha!

Staying tobacco free should be incentive enough! Beans do help I guess! Ha!

So I’m sitting here on the front porch enjoying a leg of FireOnTheMountain :fire::mountain_snow: trying to think of something I really want beside what I’ve already gathered here on OG lol

I have the PUrkle, the Jack, the white rhino etc. pretty much all the nostalgia beans I wanted except a good AK-47.

I really want a good Appalachian male cross of B’s! That’s my goal right now
