BeagleZ KNF/homemadeInputs Shelf in the Corner

You don’t have to bury it. You can put a note on it that says “microbial study in progress, please do not disturb” that usually works. But you’ll want to put in some sort of cage so the critters don’t get to it. Just pick a time where it has rained recently but not going to rain for 5 days or so. That way you don’t have to tent it and draw unwanted attention.
Worth a shot?
I have taken successful collections from around the yard. Behind bushes in mulch beds that have built up for a year or more.

Thats actually a really good Idea! I’ll give that a shot and I’ll let you know.

What up Fam, I know an update is way way long overdue here and I’ll try to get to that soon, but in the meantime I wanted to post the formula recipes i have been using for a reference material.

when in doubt use the MaintenanceFormula, fpj for veg ffj for flower.
It is important to include the OHN and V when using FPJ or FFJ to balance

Master Cho’s 7 Core Solutions:

  1. SoilFormula - 8mL FPJ, 8mL FV, 4mL OHN, 4mL WCP, 4mL LABs, 190mL Sea Water
  2. SeedFormula - 8mL FPJ, 8mL FV, 4mL OHN, 4mL WCP, 4mL FAA, 150mL Sea Water
  3. MaintenanceFormula - 8mL FPJ/FFJ, 8mL FV, 4mL OHN traditionally this formula has the addition of WCP which I have omitted and add as a supplement.
  4. LeafFormula - 8mL FPJ, 8mL FV, 4mL OHN, 4mL WCP, 4mL FAA, 4mL LABs
  5. BloomFormula - 8mL FPJ (crossover) or FFJ, 8mL FV, 4mL OHN, 4mL WCP, 1mL FAA, 1mL LABs, 125mL Sea Water
  6. FruitFormula - 8mL FFJ, 8mL FV, 4mL OHN, 4mL WCP, 1mL FAA, 150mL Sea Water, 4mL WCA
  7. HarvestFormula - 8mL FFJ, 4mL OHN, 4mL WCA, 190mL Sea Water

Ya’ll be good, good vibes ya’ll

Does the sugar replacement need to be a dry amendment?
Could it be fruit sugars like oranges?

Sugars replaced opiates as my addiction years ago, but I cant feed my plants sugar.

Yes, the sugar used in KNF preparations must be dry to the best of my understanding.
In the fermenting process you need the dry sugar to create the osmotic pressure to pull out the goodness from the cells without breaking them.

When super saturating it is important to not add any more water to the mix. The goal is to bind every water molecule to a sugar so no water is available for the microbes. If you add wet sugar this will just add more water and you’ll never reach supersaturation.

You can use coconut sugar if you can find for a substitute.

It is diluted so much that I wouldn’t worry about giving too much sugar to your plants as long as you follow the recipes. In fact, if you were to send a diluted sample to a lab they would say there is nothing in the solution.

I commend you for kicking the opiates, seen far too many friends go down that dark path and it always does my heart good to hear someone come out the other side.:+1::+1:

Hey buddy, found this paper and I thought it was right up your canna FPJ alley:

“A Review of Cannabis Sativa-based Insecticides, Miticides, and Repellents”

John M McPartland and Zahra Sheikh

Abstract: Plant-based pesticides are gaining attention as safe, effective, eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic pesticides. We conducted a literature search regarding the use of hemp (Cannabis sativa) as a plant-based insecticide, miticide, or repellent. The search yielded 88 publications, which we grouped into five types of applications: companion planting (17 articles), the use of harvested plant material without any extraction (25 publications), aqueous extracts (20 publications), essential oil extracts (EOs, nine publications), and solvent extracts (17 publications). Few studies chemically analyzed the contents of their extracts, and most studies lacked control comparisons. EO studies were the most rigorous, and yielded the best results. Results with solvent extracts showed moderate efficacy, but little better than aqueous extracts, which lacked tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Collectively, the studies suggest that EOs (terpenoids) are the primary Cannabis constituents responsible for arthropod deterrence. THC exerts nominal deterrence, but is toxic to insects. Mechanisms of action are discussed. "

Thanks for sharing this dude! Going to spend some time in it, skimming seems super interesting.
I’ve been thinking about taking some of the fresh harvest off my current round and fermenting it into a FPJ for oral use. See how the effects are compared to a RSO for example. A much more cerebral experiment on my part but I think worth a try

@moderators @LemonadeJoe, can we close this thread? I want to start it over.
I have learned a lot since I started it and I think it would be easier to start fresh rather than try to go thru and correct everything

Can’t wait. buddy! I want to learn more of your ways this summer
