Where we are, I’ve always just used whatever I’m growing out, as material for relief, for folks.
Getting high, and finding relief are 2 separate realities, IMHO.
Pain relief products, I found have better results, with extractions of cannabis.
You can compound the potency, of the cannabis, your working with, by simply running the solvent through the plant matter, collecting that juice, and then reusing it, to extract another batch of material.
I’ve done that 5-6 times, then reduce it, evaporating off the solvent.
What is left, is a sort of very potent RSO type of thick oil, that will knock down a buffalo, just what pain relief folks wanted. A rice sized blob of oil, and sleep will find you.

For a more mood enhancing elixir, I found working with vegetable glycerin, a small portion of pharmaceutical grade poly glycol, added 10-15 grams of decarbed cannabis, all mixed together, placed into pint mason jars, with the lids NOT sealed tight.
I put them into a crock pot, on a trivet/cloth pad, add some water, to about half way up the pint jars.
Plug the crock pot into a timer, 4 on hours- 4 off hours for the whole cycle run, for about 7 days. A sort of accelerated green dragon process.
Set the heat, on my crock pot was the medium setting.
As we want to simmer around 120-140 F.
Be sure to ** tighten the lid before you shake them** and loosen the lid, as it goes back into the crock pot.
So 4 times a day, I would go shake the jars (while hot) like a mad man, re fill the water, and let it cycle.
This makes a delicious (to us anyway) elixir, that can offer a sense of well being to folks.
It will not make you high, it will for some, be an excellent mood enhancer.

Green butter, worked into a batch of cookies, worked for over a decade for my wife’s sleeping, keeping her restless legs and night sweats at bay.
Then she did not want the calories at night, so I started capping up decarbed cannabis, into 00 sized capsules.
I used whatever I was growing out at the time! No special strains, now she takes a capsule at night and all is well for her.
The plants that have not so much in the way of a buzz, work just perfect from capsules…IF, you looking to sleep better, and NOT looking for a buzz.
Whew, about 20 years of diddling around with cannabis products.
Some worked a treat, some did NOTHING for folks, but it’s is worth a try.

Thanks for that…sounds interesting.

Maybe I should elaborate on their issues they’re dealing with…she has MS, and he’s an arthritic bi-polar. And the more I get to know him, the more of a nice guy he seems to be.

Thank u for this information this is right up my alley in the pain department

I guess marijuana is not good for bi-polar patients or something like that they say or there’s not enough studies on it for them but who knows it probably do wonders fo him
