I carry for the same reason.
I dont want to shoot someone. Ever. But in this day and age, you never know when you will have to protect yourself.
And I keep a loaded 357 mag S&W next to my bed. If someone enters my house after i go to bed, god help his ass,
Like i say, i dont want to hurt no one. But at 2 am. In the dark. Wife next to me. Should be no one else in the house. That guy is not in there to play monopoly. He got to go.
Amen Mike. I’ve done a lot of bad things in a lot of foreign lands, 99.9% of which nobody will ever know but, I did what I had to and what uncle sugar paid me to do. I can’t believe that I spent months, in the jungles of South America and several other foreign places, I was not supposed to be, hunting down bad guys, in those places but,I was. I come back stateside, and I couldn’t even carry a side arm on a Military base, thank you Mr.C. This is one of the reasons, I tried to spend very little time stateside. I felt like I wasn’t able to defend myself, the way I was able in foreign lands.
I have firearms placed strategically, through out my house and property. I hope to never have to use them but, if I ever have to, make no mistake use them I will, with extreme proficiency. Anyone makes it my family or them, they will loose every time. When I was in the Military, I was a specialist, with a deadly skill and old skills are never forgotten around here. I hope and pray that I never have to put them to use again. I keep several sidearms in my night stand as well, and a replica of my sniper rifle behind the door. Not a wise choice to come messing around, where you don’t belong.
I hope that all is well with you and yours, Mike, be Safe, my friend
Gary
I agree and as a retired school administrator who served in the US Army Infantry I see that some schools have gotten lax as it relates to being hardened from trespass and attack. They need to refocus on that issue. When I heard this going down I said to my wife that I would bet someone propped a door open and if so that should be immediate dismissal. Indeed the door was propped open by a teacher. When I began my career all the doors in the schoolhouse were open. When I retired I watched my family enter my school on the last day through the one door available with with metal detectors and school resource police. We can’t afford to go backwards with security.
I’ve got a lot of respect for good teachers. I hope to see the schools getting back to education instead of upbringing, and I’m fairly sure that the majority of teachers are looking forward to getting back to basics anyway. Teachers are getting a bad rap right now but one of the teachers that got killed in that Texas shooting was found laying on top of one of her kids trying to protect the kid.
There’s a special place in Heaven for that woman.
I don’t think it’s to do with only guns and laws…
IMHO there is more serious underlying problem with these mass shootings which nobody seems to be addressing…
BULLYING
When the schools overlook bullying or they give slap on the wrist for bullies and forget to realise what the bullied is going through…
When nobody listens or stops bullying, they create some sort of monsters in the mind of the victims.
Some kids pull through while the others decide to go buy guns and teach the bully and the ones who laughed with them a lesson…
Lack of hunters is actually becoming a problem in Cottage country…
We are getting bear, deer, cougar etc where we haven’t had them in 75+ years. Mostly because the old hunters are gone and the kids just aren’t into it.
I suppose if enough pets, children and livestock get eaten Ottawa might hear about it…
TRUTH.
Cheers
G
I would love to help, with that problem
Gary
I don’t hunt any more, but I do know this. If the government decides to ban weapons, the animal population would literally explode, with no harvesting being done. Non hunters don’t realize that hunters provide a huge benefit. You, in effect, thin out the herd, making the remainder much healthier via not having to fight for food etc.
I found an electric fence keeps away the mountain lions and grizzly bears, it was cheaper and I have to kill less wildlife. I gave my guns to a friend with a license.
I am going to show these this morning.
Again. These are my Island Sweet Skunk plants. They are looking really good. I think a lot has to do with the earlier applications of BBP. They sure are frosty. This is 35 days from flip.
Progressing very nicely Mike,
You’re nutrient status looks great at this point !
Just curious if you found that you had to bump up your nutes around late veg-early flower…
Superb Outmotherfuckingstanding, my brother, from another, mother
Gary
As a matter of fact, I did have to up the nutrients a bit. I usually try to keep to a nute/water/nute/water routine. These were acting a bit hungrier than normal. I went to a nute/nute/water/nute/nute/water for this grow. Sound about normal???
Thanks for saying so Gary. I do try really hard to be successful in my growing.
Yup, it’s to be expected…everyone has a different nutrient program so it’s hard to generalize,
but normally we do see a significant increase in demand somewhere in that late veg to flower period!
Looks like you got it pretty damn nailed!
Yeah, these plants almost DEMANDED more food. I have been giving them half again as much as normal. Maybe a bit more.
This has been a really nice easy going grow so far. I still have 4-5 more weeks to go. Maybe more. I am impressed every morning when I go check on them.
That sounds about right…the beauty of it is you’d have to go pretty crazy at this stage to see any lockout in those girls…they’re revved!
Boy you ain’t just a-whoofin’.
They seem to be supercharged. Every day I can see the buds are swelling and getting longer. And lots of them. The older pistils are now starting to turn red.
Yup, stacking like crazy.
I’m sooooo happy for you after the rough start!
Hey, at least you know and have verification that BBP works even if you start really late. I only have two heavy apps, and one light app. I do believe BBP to be at least part of my success thus far.
