That would be the bee’s knees bro! Seriously, I have really developed a penchant for anything Skunk. Thanks so much. :+1:

Actually this strain, to be called Skunk, has no skunk smell at all. Its mostly fruity and floral to my nose. I did a stem rub a week or so ago. I could swear that rub smelled like Fruit Loops.

That’s interesting. Called Skunk because of the lineage but no Skunk smell. Is that standard for that strain or a pheno??
I like Fruit Loops too. lol

Let me look it up.

According to my book, the taste/aroma is supposed to be sweet, pungent and fruity.

Sounds nice. My wife loves the sweet stuff too. I grew out some Cookies Kush and she claimed the last jar. I mean, I don’t even know where it is now. lol

Hey folks. I have a question that has been kinda on my mind.
I have 4 Island Sweet Skunk plants. The leaf stems on one plant are purple. The other three all have green leaf stems. Is the color of the leaf stems in any way indicative of potency of bud after harvest?

I’ve only seen this strain with green stems in grow journals (never the pleasure myself) and in those cases the buds were water-bottle for scale HUGE lol. Keep an eye on that purple one as it sounds like it could be something special for you!

Yes! When it comes harvest time, I will for sure keep em separated, in case one is much better than the other.
Sadly, when I took cuttings, only two clones made it. If the purple stemmed is a standout, I got lucky, because both clones that survived were from the purple stemmed plant. If the green is better, I will just have to cherish what I get, cuz I have “0” seeds left. But the plan is to reverse one plant and pollinate the other. For fem seeds.

Nice plan. I’ll be over on the couch watching.

Mike, sounds like the purple-stemmed plant is a different pheno.
Different phenos always have the possibility of differing terpenes, so smell, taste, potency may certainly
vary… Good Luck! Hope you are pleasantly surprised!

Mike, You saw the increased nutrient demand and fed the girls what they wanted!!!
I state that BBP increases the METABOLIZATION efficiency. That sounds pretty abstract…until you see it for yourself!!
Over and over we see that ‘lockout’ just doesn’t happen in late veg/flower. Most growers observe they are feeding nutrient at 130%, 150% or even 200%! I can’t make any specific recommendations because nutrient programs vary so much…
Here’s the truth of the matter…I’ll give a crude analogy…
If you have a big V-8 in your ski boat, and you’re using a single barrel carburetor, you can put all the gas you want in the TANK…it’s still a pig! Now, put a big double pumper 4 barrel on that engine and it turns into a beast!!! Yeah, it’s definitely going to use MORE GAS but the results speak for themselves with the rippin rides you’re gonna get!!!
Crude I know (LOL and most people have never heard of a carburetor) but it is an analogy!!

Kick ass Big Boy!
