BigMike55’s Ongoing Cannabis Log (Part 2)

That is really TOO bad !! Feel like taking advantage of someone’s genorsity, and then never giving feed back is a bit appalling.

If you have a breeding project ongoing it’s essential to hear the good, bad, ugly, whatever…
Leaving the breeder in the dark is devestating for the continuation of the project…

That opinion is shared by most here, I think.

What @JohnnyPotseed said.

Agreed but what bothers me more is going through the trouble and expense of sending free seeds to people and then never hearing back that they received them.

My neighbours get unnerved when I use mine as I pretend it’s a post-apocalyptic pole-arm and BLAST the DOOM Soundtrack.

"…we will send unto them… only you. Rip and tear, until it is done.

Kinda getting worried a bit about Sheelavathi. Almost 12 weeks into flower. I am seeing ZERO trichome development. What do you think @Oldjoints ?

Or am I jumping the gun?

Sativa has me a little bumfuzzled. Don’t know what to expect. Totally different than what I’m used to running. Quite a challenge.

Look at this pretty sumbitch right here. 10 gallon pot for out on the patio when the weather is right. Skywalker

How about Frankenstein. She needs a new pot.

Some don’t show until last 4wks & some don’t show resin & will still put you in orbit . E.T.'s Mullum / Oax Space Shuttle be like that .

This is my first go with a real sativa, not hybrid. That’s why I’m a bit confused. I will run her till the end tho. No matter what.
I’m just wondering how I would know if she’s done, with no trikes to inspect. Ha!

She’ll start dropping leaves or the 3rd time she pistils up let them turn & take her . I got 20 & initially asked for more . These are best outdoors & tropical . I’m at 30 N , but outdoors is guerilla only here . I’m watching you to see if indoors is viable . Cut to fit . What’s the flowering time on these 20 - 26wks ???

Supposed to be around 16 weeks.
This would have been a lot better if I have put her into flower much earlier. A SCROG net would have been handier than a shirt pocket, too. If you try her indoors I suggest to put her into flower when she gets about 2 feet tall (from the floor). This girl has legs for days.

Was under the impression they were longer running . Definately short veg . How’s she respond to topping ? Am curious about the buzz … warm & dreamy or cold & jagged .

Buzz? Never tried it.
I didn’t top her. She has the lateral branching that sticks straight out from the main stem. I did top a clone of her that I took of this plant. She appears to have no ill affects. That will be planted directly in the ground after frost.

And it may be longer flowering. Just from my research it says around 16 weeks. My friend @Oldjoints says more like 20.

But you used BBP so…
. even longer?

True. I had forgotten. It’s been a while. And I’ve smoked some since then.

Guess it’s all a question of whether you want to maximize your bud production or have a ‘fast’ grow !!

One thing about it for sure lol if you use BBP, expect things to ‘go south’ timewise! But oh what a difference it makes!!
To me, it just makes sense. Let the girl take her sweet time, the end result is worth the extra time!

@BigMike55 cuz, you’ve got too much time into her now to stop. That’s how I look at it. Just be patient, she’ll show you when she’s ready. I know you know this, lol you’re just used to the plants that only go a couple months in flower, and done.

The best I can tell you is that I ran mine until about week 14 and saw no trichome production at that time. Remember this is considered an outdoor landrace strain grown in an equatorial region so nothing like what you are use to growing.
She will not be trichome laden like a lot of these modern strains of today.
If you decide she is not worth the effort you sure won’t hurt my feelings by taking it down. I culled my plants after they were finished giving seed.
That plant looks a lot like mine were at about that stage. When removing seed my hands turned black and got pretty sticky so she should go the distance if you have the patience to see her to the end.
