I’m cleaning the bottom up 1 day at a time removing a few fan leaves

does anybody happen to know what this might be from? It’s only on the fan leaves that are the same fan leaves that started eating themselves before I switched the plant over to ffof soil an started adding very light nutrients. So I’m not sure if that is normal for that or what I will say the rest of leaves look a lil over watered an that’s because I started a new job last week an actually back to back watered them smdh.

think I either have it to much nitrogen or my ph pen is not working right

I would check your ph pen to start, they look hungry not over fed.

How wet is the soil even with ph or lack of food they shouldn’t be droopy like that.

I def haven’t been over feeding think maybe I should add a lil more nuts I was going super light cause I didn’t want to over feed them so I guess it is possible

well it’s still slowing eating itself but I’m hoping it will make it. I’m pretty confident if I keep up the feeding schedule an proper ph it will make it. The buds are starting to turn. I started this on the 1st of august. So I’m guessing another 2 - 3 weeks before it’s finished.

Hi man I must have missed your previous post, I dont use bottle nutes so I cant really help there.

Looking at your latest pic, it still looks like lack of P and N, but if they only have 3 weeks left by the time you manage to correct it they will be finished probably. Just keep doing what your doing and it will take what it needs from the leaves and you will have less trimming to do when its finished.

This picture is like a week old by the way. Just been crazy busy. I will be starting a new diary this next grow. 1 alpha binery genetics 1 night owls-blue light special
I definitely learned a ton this grow. Definitely see that it had potential to produce more buds but I was under feeding it for sure. Wait till you see the next ones… gonna definitely go with the 5gallon pots the 2 gallon just wasn’t enough space for it. Man the buds are so sticky an dense. I wanna say ty guys for all the help. I could use a lil info about cutting an drying. Looks like I’ll get an oz out of it

bottom buds are still a little white but they are covered in crystals an nice orangish red hairs. To bad I botched the feeding schedule. Guess there’s only one way to truly learn an that’s trial an error. Here is a few recent pics.

I officially grew my own bud an actually got some fire ass buds they are so sticky but I’m not sure when I should cut it down? I would love to snatch a nug off but I don’t want to disturb it an mess up. Any suggestions??? It would be greatly appreciated. Also I will be starting a new 2 new strains one is another night owl genetic called blue light special. An the other is alpha by binary genetics. I’m excited about the night owl since this Last one seems like a real winner

 Congrats on your first grow, looks good :+1:

You need some kind of magnification, like a jewelers loup or digital microscope and check the trichomes on the main buds, your looking for mostly milky and some amber colored trichs if you see lots of sparkly clear ones it’s not ready.

She looks real close now, if she is not there already.

I’m gonna order 1 now from amazon. Is there such a thing as letting it sit to long

Depends on how you like your buzz the more amber coloured trichs there are the more sedative the buzz if you have lots of milky tricks it’s more of a high. Another week will not make much difference. A good magnifier helps with a lot of things anyway. Sexing plants, pest and pm detection.

Last but not least how do you guys recommend drying it? I’ve read plenty about brown bags an cardboard clothes hangers etc. I was gonna buy one of those erbal dry racks that are like a mesh screen an you sit your nugs in it til they are ready to be jarred correct?

You can use those, but the buds tend to flatten on the side they lay on, you just need to rotate them every day.

Depending on the size of the colas room temps and humidity the buds will dry at different speeds, so you have to keep checking them they could dry in a couple of days if it’s warm, the best temps and humidity if you can control them are 55% humidity and 60f for a steady dry.

This should take roughly 4 to 7 days depending on bud size. They should not be fully dry, when jared for the curing process, this is the hard bit.

As they sit in the jar you need to keep them cool and out of the light, check them every day, if they feel greasy or moist again open the jar and let them breath until they feel dry and crispy on the outside but still squishy on the inside, then seal them up and repeat this until they are staying around 60% humidity in the jar and check regularly to make sure no mold appears.

It took me a while to get this process down, without drying them out too much, it’s something you have to do to to learn what the right way is for you.

Thanks I really appreciate it. I also thought about cutting branches off an then just using twisty ties to attach it to a hanger an let them dry in my dark closet. Prolly end up going with the erbal rack so my cat an dog don’t mess with it lol. One last question in reference to the jars. In pa the mmj comes with bovida packs I guess to fight against mold while curing what’s your opinion?

The boveda packs are to keep the humidity steady, the will add a little moisture if the weed is dry, they will absorb some moisture if the weed is wet, they won’t stop mold if it’s to wet. They are really for long term storage, and the curing process.

Well played on your first harvest!

I dry my buds by hanging them on thread in the shower. Like this:

Once they are dry to +/- 60% I put them in mason jars with a boveda and a humidity sensor. Like this:

Keep it going and all the best
