So much stuff in the vault but may pop this pack before i lose it due to age and that it was in the old green clear bags.

Hmm so you’re saying in areas of high humidity or extended rain and moisture it may be good against pm but be susceptible to bud rot?

That is a possibility that could occur. For total protection you’d want something like an Old Mother Ghani which loosens bud density in plants which can help with moisture evaporation around bud sites. Combine that with something like the 88g13hp or other PM resistant varieties. I have heard a few of the DLAs are great for that specifically. You could also of course find something really dense that still has high resistance but the denser, the better the environment for the fungi to develop.

Do like a, Cherry Queen x DLA10
Fat Cherry on both sides… and you get the omg + 88g13hp too. I have multiple packs of both these, I should do that sometime  ah plans

It was a terrible year last year, but the Gorilla Ghani I grew outdoors molded like a ####.

TBF it was botrytis, not PM.

All of the OMG crosses i have grown have grown huge fat colas that are prone to mold. I would say its the exact opposite of being resistant to mold.

GG4 is not known for its mold resistance. It is most noted for its instability.

I was saying that something like Kandahar Black x 88 g13hp (for added PM) or just Kandahar Black that has been noted for good mold resistance, could be crossed to OMG to really have something better. Was there a Kandahar x OMG?

I didn’t pick anything up last drop, but I remember there were a few different price points. Off the top of your head, do you remember what the higher ones went for?

That was just the Neireka stuff. This should all be around $45 @ GLG even for the two supernatural selections on the bottom. I can’t say for certain though. Anyone can change their prices. The Menehune was already released a couple places like the HI Cannabis Expo last year and (maybe) also free seed day '24 but can’t recall that 100% for sure. Someone here is growing it and they recently posted about it. When I paid for the SS023 pack it was only $45.

Thanks! I have been researching the offerings since I found the list on Speakeasy. I did see the Menehune was released by Haze Valley Nursery in person on one of your old posts. The photo shared of Menehune was very nice. I’ve seen a few nice SS023 pictures too.

Every OMG cross i grew had higher propensity to bud rot versus other cultivars in the same indoor environment. I would not recommend OMG anything unless you have your room dialed in…

That’s good information @fullcircle. I’ll have to stick to recommending the DLA’s like DLA 4, 13, & 16. I know other growers have used OMG as a breeding tool in the past to get lower bud density. The problems with some afghans is their resistances to fungal pathogens due to dry climates.

The best mold resistances can come from outliers but always the equatorial jungle and island plants that get nearly 100% humidity all the time. Thailand is a good example. So the stuff that has ancestral thai in it can be good for it also.

Outdoor show and tell.

Mom’s Lemon Cream Pie throwing out some fresh pink pistils.

A “small” sample of Kali Mist x Everything that was taken early since the stem was bent. My single plant is overall very lightly scented, leaning citrusy/super sweet if you disturb flowers. She is 5’ tall, with dense, heavy stacking flowers that hold themselves up well. She had terrible positioning in my garden, but grew into the light. I know so far KMxE runs have been all over the place. Though it is early (no smoke yet), I am tempted to think this is one of the better ones. I love flowers with this shape as they are so easy to trim. I expect she would yield heavy if given prime real estate.

I’ve never had an issue with any of the OMG crosses that I’ve grown, bud rot or otherwise. I love those hybrids, got four more Soars growing right now as a matter of fact, not worried about them at all.

The Celestial Citron I grew outdoor this year had no rot issues. Both phenos of Old Soul from last year had no rot issues outside either. One pheno had skinnier Goji style nugs, but the other leaned heavy OMG—fat buds with great resistance. I look forward to more OMG crosses outside next season.

Everyone’s grow environment is different. Wanted to add my experience. :beers:

The MLCP I grew and spread out to locals received rave reviews!

Here’s my favorite pheno of field trip so far just hitting week 5 of flower. I’m not a cookies guy but I figured if SSDD is crossed, maybe it’s worth a shot.
