I think that would be okay under his requests. As long as it is not being sold by him anymore I think he said to please make more.

The OMG male is no longer in use, but Iām not sure if that means itās cool to be f2āing crosses made with him. Regarding the Soar, specifically, seeds of that one are still for sale last I checked, and thatās an OMG cross, soā¦ I donāt know about the others. Isnāt the Terpenado a cross using the Wookie male? Bodhiās definitely still using that guy. Iām unclear on the Snow Lotus male. Iād heard it was gone, but it seems like thereās a lot of crosses that utilized that male still around, so I really donāt know. Anybody wants to chime in, feel free.

fgens of dead lines: yes please, thank you for your time and energy to allow these cultivars new life, i can also possibly provide old special lines to reproduce if theres something needed and not available.
fgens current lines: personal/friends/familyā¦ sure, but not for general distribution . i would prefer that you focus on lines that need reproduction over things that are currently stocked by bodhi seeds. *current fgens for profit is ok if you have isolated or line bred your own unique expression of a line with documentationā¦ (bare min 2 generations)
I interpreted that as:
if the cross is no longer around or for sale then it is okay to make more. Even id he still has seed or cuts in his vault as long as he is not selling those crossed f1 then it seems to be okay. Also he said he is even willing to donate strains he has that are no longer around in order for someone to make more.
If you find aa unique pheno in a strain he has crcreat, even if he is still selling that strain, as long as you work it down the line andr specifically breed tto iissolate that unique expression, with documentation, then it is okay. Even if you sell it.

Snow lotus is no longer being used. I also have Soul Axis slated for a preservation next year. Mango Lotus would be nice to preserve

Iād mentioned the Skunk HP because it was an outdoor freebie prone to intersex. I think itād be nice if someone refined it rather than preserved it

I think as long as the cross is no longer sold you can reproduce his strains. Like even if snow louts is still being used, if (A x snow lotus) is discontinued or not being sold you can make more (A x snow lotus) if you have them to make.
I think. At least thats how I read it. Idk. We just dont want to be taking money from him or gis family. He is an insanely generous person, and his guidlines are the most lenient Ive seen when it comes to breeders.

Yeah, itās always better to choose males that are gone AND he hasnāt recently sold the cross. I mean, put yourself in his shoes. Would you want somebody to say, āThis cross went out of stock last week, I think Iāll F2 it and give it awayā when you have ten pounds of those seeds left to package up and sell?
The point is to please only reproduce and do public giveaways of his old, discontinued, long gone lines. Thatās what his oft-quoted post means. Weāre lucky enough to have his blessing for that. We shouldnāt take advantage of his good graces.
If you do a search in this thread for posts by me, I listed all the discontinued males a few weeks ago. That should give you a heads up of the options, but then also you donāt want to do stuff that was discontinued but still for sale last week. And, if youāre still unsure after looking at that and thinking about those 10 year old packs sitting in your stash, you can always email him. I think heās posted his email address in various threads on other forums over the years.
@Limeflavouredheadbut yeah, dream beaver is one thatās on my list to F2 some day soon, but I have a lot to go through before I get to my pack of that one. I gave away two other packs of it to friends who wanted to do the same but disappearedā¦

I have a couple of packs of Dream Beaver that I plan to put into dirt in the next month. I need to get my extra tent setup for doing some F2āing but Dream Beaver is whats planned to go in there once its ready.

Surprisingly most the bodhi packs that are snatched up on drops are usually grabbed by collector/hoarders and therefore havenāt been grown.
After awhile people forget about them for the flavour of the month and you can often buy or trade for them easily.
Itās amazing sometimes how something old can become new and coveted again just simply by being around.

Synchronicity is the best way. Itās how Iāve been coming across great F2 of discontinued stuff. But otherwise IG is a good place to look lol
