Some Lavender Jack shots. Been drying in the tent for about 3 weeks, doing a light trim then putting it in mason jars. Smell has become a much deeper lavender covered Jack smell. Nugs are greasy af. The taste is much more balanced and smooth, yet complex like a good old scotch or something.

Rooms filling up with the aroma of fermenting grapes and gasoline/earth and whew these girls are greasy, that goes for all of the SSDD crosses I am running, while trimming I dont even get finger hash, its just oil and grease!

Heres a cured flower of Sunshine #4 that was taken around day 68 (really wanted all ambers to compare early harvests with)((disclaimer this camera phone has the strangest aperture thus making macro shots nearly impossible))

13 new crosses are currently in flower for a pheno hunt, their clones have roots after 7 days (space cake took the…cake for roots on day 5)

Here’s the kicker; ran into some home repair issues and might have to stop all production! Complete tear down, including mother and veg rooms until things get fixed, Doh! Anyone want to bring over a box truck and baby sit the garden for a week?

That description makes me hesitant to grow them

it’s not something to be afraid of or hesitant, the way i described it it sounded like it makes zombies but that’s not it i believe i should have said it made me lazy, when i smoked in the morning i wanted to stay in bed all day.

It is the type of small plant with many branches the nugs are dense and round the size of golf balls as the description says I had two that turned out pretty purple but in fact they were less potent in aroma and potency.

the aroma the taste can vary from person to person and method of cultivation in my organic style and low quality lights all plants have a similar aroma and taste well woody their crosses carry the same taste.

Yea it has a lot of different things going on. The flavors kind of dance all over your tongue. The smell is the same way. Smelling my fingers more after trimming, it has an almost fuely smell, like fresh Lucas gear oil, lavender covered Jack… Smells great

whoa… thats one unique cross for sure. what would you say the mother plant’s qualities are like… and where’d you source that one from? (or does it say, i wasn’t sure what is lineage and what is source info)… reads to me as:

(Indian heirloom x Punto Roja) x (angel wing afghan x 88ghp)

Pretty interested in Indian type plants ever since I was in Goa about 10 years ago and smoked some type of unknown hash (assuming charas) in a chillum that knocked my socks off. The closest i have come to that experience is some live rosin hits (which makes a bit of sense since charas is usually live extracted technically). In any case, fascinating unique work… wouldnt mind being your pheno taste tester.

I had 7 GOJI OG F2 females by @catapult), 6 of which have been cut down, dried and in curing. I always leave some bits to try out dried. these are G2 and G5 (G1 is still in flower, G3 ended up being a really weird scrappy plant, G4 is drying, G6 is drying, and G7 is a purple pheno that is drying as well).

G2
was the frostiest, yield was miserable, but i may have stunted it, im trying to reveg it.

smell: It had a strong fuel and citrus aroma while growing, and while drying becomes earthy but that might change a bit.

effect: creeper. I remember thinking “damn, its one of those super pretty really shitty” but after 15-20 minutes I realized I was really high (i usually dont like really strong weed because it increases anxiety, but not with this one. it will fuck you up. and im all good) and the effect lasts well more than an hour.
It is heady and relaxing, feels a bit in the eyes but not enough to put you down.

G5
was the second frostiest, and for some reason I thought I had a clone but didnt, so I didnt reveg it either.

while growing the smell was also fuel with citrus but a strong sweet too. while drying it has become more sweet than anything,

effect is more sativa leaning with no real effect on the eyes. also strong. I tend not to focus too much on feelings as my mood can def impact on how i perceive its effects, but it felt a bit racy without any negative (paranoia or anxiety).

So far I have really liked G2 and G5.

G3
doesnt get a pic, it went on to edibles.

For those keeping tabs on these sort of thing, this isnt flash. its a diffused continuous light, which acts like a shaded window/natural light.

EDIT: I forgot to include taste. I mainly vape (dynavap).
G2 is surprisingly fresh/sweet and
G5 is sweet

Thank you for mentioning the quality of the resin being overall slippery/greasy. I’ve found those and sticky resin flower tend to be my favorites. Anything with the standard sandy/grainy resin is good too, but not the same.

That G2 looks incredible! Great job to all involved @catapult, @The_Lazy_Hippie and of course @the_bot. I’ve noticed many of my Goji F1s to have some serious creeper effects to them as well and had the same initial reaction (though not as attractive as that flower). Looking forward to the reviews on the other phenos…

Had to strip naked and fog to kill thrips so I took some pics to prove it can be done.

On top of my other calamity, my male room has a thrip population in a back corner I found lastnight! I am guessing these bastards didnt care about my IPM practices (DIY Trifecta + Azamax + Sulfur dips on clones)

how’s the cherry west females?

The Cherry West Bc females are something fucking else. Mean Gene sent me a bag of 22 seeds and I germinated them all the next day. They just happened to land at one of my safe addys the day before I was going to germinate a ton of other stuff, so why the fuck not, right? Haha. He also sent a fat sack of Josh D 999 x Sky Jaro, but I haven’t ran those yet.

Anyfuckingway, the Cherry West Bc females were a really nice surprise. I had heard about them, but never really looked into them too much. Lots of cherry limeade to them, which I was not expecting (I didn’t look up the lineage until like 3/4 through my first flower run with them). I have ran quite a bit of his work, but these might be my favorite so far. Most of them are just greasy as fuck and some of them get this sandy feeling to the trichomes that seems like it would be good for making hash.

It is nice for sure. I have only ran it a handful or so of times. I enjoy it. It is definitely sour ish haha. I have had ECSD for longer and it isn’t going anywhere, but the ECSD isn’t making me want to let the other cut go either haha. Both cuts definitely look, smell and taste sour. I can see a lot of similarities between the two cuts. Skunktek’s cut seems a lot less finicky than the ECSD. I feel like nothing really compares to the sour of the late 90’s to early 2000’s for me, but that isn’t to say that these things don’t help feel a void whilst I constantly search for old school sour haha. I could go on about this for hours haha.

and BT f2’s?

I have been working with my Black Triangle F2 cuttings for around a year and a half. I went through ~100 to find my 3 cuts. I definitely enjoy them. I have had the Triangle Kush cut (actually just lost her again this past week; fuuuuuck me) and I doubt most people could tell my TK leaning female from the TK cut, unless they were running them side by side or rooting them haha. She definitely has improved rooting haha.

I know that you didn’t ask about the Dogwalker OG, but she is more than worthy of being mentioned as well. One Eye says that he used a lot of intersex breeding to create her, but I haven’t even been able to shake a stamen out of her with stress testing. She is OG as fuck, on a sturdier frame. Ranging from earthy/woody/pine to skunky/diesel. Beautiful dense flowers as well. I look forward to seeing how she combines with my Black Triangle F2 male.
