That’s really interesting that the skunk aroma was so prominent in all the SSDD you have gone through, the females I grew out all had a lot more of a funk to them than actual skunk, unless I am mixing up or combing funk and skunk?

Think the funk might’ve been the blueberry and/or muffin smells mixed in with the skunky scents. I saw a chocolate bubba leaner in the F1’s too. Either way, very little sour butter to be found, much less sour butter+blueberry and/or muffin. Those seem to show up in the F2’s Sebring made. In two packs i’d say 70% were skunky, or funky like you said. I found a singular 100% sour butter girl with zero blueberry/muffin/skunk/funk but no males that were remotely similar.

I had 2 skunky girls in my pack of your bx. They may be the best stone out of my 8 imo. They definitely finished quicker than the rest and yielded well. They didn’t get skunky until the cure

I’ve grown out at least 5 packs, and never got what I would call skunk.
Acrid as fuck, even eye burning. But then I don’t think I’ve ever had real skunk weed, so whadda I know?
My sniffer’s whacked, but I was feeling left out … and I used to live in land with real skunks that played chicken with cars, and lost… a lot!
In the mid 90’s a client gave me some seeds he said were from really, really good weed. G13 he called it.
I grew it, and gave some to a friend with his dog, who hit a license checkpoint on the way home, right after he finished a bowl! Cop checked his license then said something like sorry about your dog man, tomato juice will get rid of that stink! Man’s best friend!
I know now, it wasn’t G13, but it was some really, really good weed

That too. Not traditional “skunk” like back in the day, but in that vicinity of smells. It’s just not my favorite or what I think of when I think of Sunshine Daydream according to bodhi’s description.
Sunshine daydream is a hybrid of one of Bodhi Seeds all time favorites, Bubbashine which is a cross of Bubba Kush and Blue Moonshine. Bubbashine smells of hot buttered blueberry muffins and kush, grows like a big OG covered in crystals, and has an amazing potent warm snuggly euphoric pain relieving effect, especially good for nerve pain. The father of this hybrid is the heavy weight funk champion Appalachia by h&l (green crack x jj’s tres dawg). These two together have created an amazing hybrid, that is truly unique, reducing nerve pain and bringing in the chem family funk, this hybrid is beautiful to look at, and even more beautiful in its effects. ( Indica - 9 weeks - 70% hybrid pheno, bubbashine smell with bigger buds, nervous system harmonizer… 20% appalachia pheno, tangy chemy buds with dulingl warm blanket high… 10% bubba/blue moonshine pheno tighter kushy nuggy dreamy pheno)
70% for me were acrid/skunky/funky hybrids. 20% were blueberry muffin. 10% were either chocolate or butter. His bubbashine description that 70% are supposed to smell like but don’t imo, matches the keeper I found in the F2’s from sebring and thats what I want to preserve as SSDD.

It sure would. My best guess on what I grew was G13Haze to begin with, crossed with whatever male was around… unpedigreed 
I’ve been trying to pop some old, poorly stored (actually worse than poorly, abysmally stored) seeds. They pop, but nothing comes out

I only went through one pack but anecdotally I only got the described bubbashine smell (warm blueberry muffins / coffee) in one plant out of the pack. I still wonder if there’s any overlap between my favorite smooth rubbery-coffee smelling SSDD (not bubbashine) and the “butter” everyone talks about or if that’s a different smell entirely. I haven’t come across any skunk in SSDD myself either out of my small sample size.
As a side note : often times when I talk to people who are less fanatical about Cannabis in person I often hear that basically everything smells like skunk to them, including things which I’d classify as floral or fruity with no offensive or skunky traits. (Not directed at holy or minitigers olfactory systems)

The skunk is probably coming from appy background you can get grandparents and great grandparents in f1 and f2…
and if bubba is really chem 91×nl or whatever…well that chem and appy could be at play back there. Jmo

The butter can turn into rubber later in flower in most of the phenos I found that had it, which like you found, weren’t many. The Coffee is coming from the bubba tho.

You’re probably right with those ratios. Looking back on my notes of the females I grew out, I had described them as: funk, sweet berry, kush (I know, very generic), and yogurt.
I think the yogurt part was just this slight lightly fermented dairy thing I couldn’t put my finger on which may have been the “hot butter” part mixed in?
Haha, I hear you there. Whenever I ask my wife what a certain plant smells like, it always comes down to one of three smells for her. It’s either sweet, skunk, or poop. I don’t know why but I laugh every time.

That’s how mine was, too. Didn’t smell skunky at all until it was jarred for three or four weeks. But once the jars got opened, holy shit… You know it when you smell it because it smells like a friggin’ skunk! Haha. Or skunk spray, anyway. There’s no ambiguity. It smells like a skunk.

Yeah, for sure. That’s actually why I always shove jars under my girl’s nose and ask her,”What’s this smell like?” Because if she picks up on anything other than,”It just smells like weed!” I’ll be sure to double- and triple-check to see, like,”Okay, what am I missing here…?” That’s why I thought it was so interesting that she somehow picked up on the lemon smell from that Blueberry x Silver Lotus right away, when all I could smell was the sweet onion/berry notes.
Anyway, I only just now realized right now that today is Halloween, when I got back from the store and there was a gigantic bowl of candy by our front door. I was like,”What’s this doing here?” and my girl said,”It’s fucking Halloween!”
So, uh, Happy Halloween to everybody. Right? I’m gonna go work the front door and give a bunch of candy to trick-or-treaters for the rest of the night haha.

Of course, the pollination is Field Trip, Space Monkey (ORIG.#1 + F2 + BX1), C99 and some others … Unfortunately there will be no f2, one of the forum participants asked half a pack and I sent them to him, left 6 choir whom 6 guys got up - that’s fate now waiting from another participant in half a pack to find a girl on f2 LOL

That stardawg guava cut is medicinal(pain relief) by itself. Coupled with the nerve-pain relief from the SSDD, should be some great stuff!
