Bodhi Plant and seed guide (Part 3)

I’ll just echo what others have said about the NFTs here. I doubt B would release anything with any obvious intersex tendencies, but those NFTs were probably just not vetted to the degree that his other lines are and so they might not be the best place to start if you’ve already had issues, probably better to stick with something that’s proven out until you have a little more experience under your belt and then step to what might be a trickier line

I also agree with everything that’s been mentioned so far…

I personally grabbed some NFT stuff just to get more variety and some moms that I wanted to try out with the 88G13HP dad.

But I incredibly rarely have had any hermies from any breeders I’ve tried, as my environment is decent and pretty dialed in for the space. Not a sealed room, but it is a sealed closet with AC and dehumidifier in there.

And I have been growing around 15 years give or take a few years that I was focused on my physical health/family and not growing, so if I make any obvious mistakes these days it’s cuz I’m busy, forgetful, or just plain a bit lazy at times.

For those who are just a bit newer to growing and still getting your temp/RH, circulating airflow, and watering practices down pat to where you are happy with your plants and results, I would suggest that you should start more with the strains Bodhi’s rigorously tested, which are all of them that don’t say NFT on the label unless I’m mistaken.

But to reassure you as well, I really haven’t heard many herm reports from Bodhi gear at all, unless growing like one of the Outdoor Love Gifts inside in a completely diff environment, when they were tested outside. I could see maybe getting potential issues in those circumstances but again, it really that depends on the strain.

Keep in consideration the time to run one strain as I’ve done a Bodhi in 160 days from seed. On top of not many people share their grows with the amount of ‘growers’ in the world. Give it time and research the interwebs as this is one of a few sites, forum etc that people post on.

As for herm this isn’t a fly by night breeder but playing mother nature along with environmental factors ( A shit ton more to add but you’ll learn) these weeds can do what they want.

Happy growing and if you do decide to run Bodhi you should be pleased if approached with an open mind to the cultivars in the pack.

P.S. 80+ packs in my collection from Bodhi should tell you something may be good. :v:

Only few Bodhi vars, I’ve tried showed zero intersex traits. Also stable in crosses unless the other plant was something like cookies. Here are a couple of beauts I’m running from seeds I made. So the black one is a Black Triangle bubblegum smelling pheno that I hit a super lavender smelling Lavender Jack and the other is the same bubblegum Black Triangle to my Headbanger keeper.

Nice work man ! @Mestizo I’m temporarily out of likes but is the Black Triangle the mom in both crosses if I’m reading correctly??

If so, BT x Lavender Jack sounds excellent and so does BT x Headbanger…

And if it’s the opposite still sounds excellent just wanted to clarify which was mom and dad

Getting some beautiful fade happening on those.

Also while I’m here, someone on RIU was talking to me about the purple unicorn dad recently, and what it brought to the mix, so I mentioned it brings nice color to the buds but I’m not truly sure about it’s affect on other traits anyone have an idea?

I’d love to have a breakdown of which Bodhi dads bring which traits to a cross saved somewhere to reference if I forget, but maybe if I fish through Parts 1 & 2 I can find what I’m looking for and bookmark it.

Man I came across the Unicorns Milk pack while fumbling through my stash the other day made me wanna pop those. I’ve yet to smoke any myself and have that like F4 or 5 he put out a while back.

OK now you HAVE to grow some out just to smoke it.

You have the purple unicorn F5 and unicorn milk? Lucky you man! Maybe make some F2’s… if it strikes your fancy just a thought haha

I happened to locate a pack of unopened Mountain Temple the other day. The guy who sold it to me said he kept it in the fridge with desiccant, so they should be viable still I hope. Cost me $150 including $10 shipping, but I didn’t think it was horribly priced but definitely somewhat higher than it could be as well.

I will let y’all know once I get them in hand actually. And take pics of course. I’d love to grow those for smoke, as they should be right up my alley but I’d rather produce some F2’s first and hunt through those as needed.

I was pretty excited to have an Appalachia cross even though I do have straight Appalachia F3 by H & L already as well.

This is just operating off of a vague memory but if I recall correctly somebody said the PU F5 wasn’t necessarily that great as smoke, but was good as a breeding tool? If I’m right they thought one of the earlier generations of Purple Unicorn was better as smoke (or maybe it was a PU hybrid they were talking about).

Yeah I heard something like that too. If I recall correctly, the seeds from F5 dudded out or something like that. Purple Unicorn f3 are the “good” ones.

I ran PU f5, beautiful purple flowers, the potency is meh 🫤, smelled just like fresh ground black pepper…. really not my style.

I think @HolyAngel disliked the PU as well, but I dont recall why

Sorry dude. The Black Triangle was the male in both. It smelled different to all the other males. I was like “Helloooo there”

Still just as good !! I’ve never grown BT but only heard raving reviews on it so far…

And Lavender Jack, I wanna snag sometime soon so the combo is perfect I’m sure.

Plus Headbanger is killer too, from all I’ve heard never grown or smoked it yet myself.

Yeah. BT is unique for the terps and lovely high.
Lavender Jack - Lavender phenos are just that. Lavender. Jack ones are sweeter and stay green. For whatever reason the Jack leaners have viagra type properties. Real aphrodisiac qualities. That really comes to the fore if they are sun grown. The high is quite electric.

Nice ! that sounds like smoke I’d like to have no doubt, I really love to smoke a nice sativa in the morning til maybe noon or early afternoon…

By mid afternoon, I’m usually having some joint pain, etc. so I pull out hybrids and indicas by then…
