Maybe. But they are a reputable seed bank as far as I know and were a BOG distributor before he passed. Doesnt mean they could be tricked themselves or just get greedy if they stop carring about their rep. Can always email and ask the origin of the seeds if they arent allowed new packs from BOGs son. See if it makes sense to you or seems fishy. No way to ever know for sure, but my sweet cindy look like sweet cindy ref photos but still no real way to know.
Most of the issues were people selling fake seeds pretending to be BOG on instagram and shit. Doesnt mean they couldnt have come across those and honestly not know they are fake.
Fucker on instagram stole a pic from here on OG I took of one of my BOG packs and used it to further his scam.

ok I was at strainly today and noticed these BOG seeds and I just wanted to ask if this is ligit BOG gear as I thought other then his son doing drops and peeps here please if anyone can find out so Mr. BOG’s gear doesn’t get tainted from some side show seed dealer.

That’s definitely not original BOG gear, as originals would be F1s not these F2 reproductions. I’ve never heard of Five Bar Seeds before.

He’s selling them as F2s (of BOG Sour BluTooth) - that doesn’t seem like it’s claiming they’re from BOG, just identifying the strain that’s it’s a repro of. @FiveGar doesn’t strike me as someone who’d deliberately be deceptive like that, although he probably knows better than most here that anything goes with plant breeding as long as it’s not actually patented.

Ummm, yeah. Not selling em as BOG seeds. Very clear what they are on pack and in description. Never charged an OG member either.

There is more to respecting a breeder than a patent but you are right, it does clearly say F2 in the title so it is up front that they are a repro. Fair enough, have to give them that one.

Well the old rule was f2s are half the price of originals.

They are $13.61 for F1’s so this does not seem unreasonable for some BOG genetics.

F1s are 18.15 ea when not on sale. I also posted it when they were not available at all.
I do the 5 seed packs for $20 each at local events and give about 40 packs to the monthly seed give away each month the company I work for runs. These local people arent going online to get seeds at all nor have I run across anyone but 1, one of my bosses, who even knew who BOG was.
Full disclosure I have sold 9 total seeds online versus the $800 in sour blutooth seeds I bought myself when we thought there might never be anymore BOG seeds, period. That is the only reason I started this plan in the first place. I dont think Im keeping food off anyones table.

It is their most expensive strain. Hey if you can make some bucks off your hard work than the more power too you @FiveGar and I think all have seen your generosity with OGers

I dont want to come off as defensive but as someone who grew sour bubble in 2001 and had interactions with the man himself feeling put on the same level as the scammers on IG pretending to be him and Jr cut a little. Goal was a preservation run and make it available.
I can see it might be better to take BOG off the pack and have it just say Sour Blutooth to help with any confusion as to the origin and leave the description on the strains history in the description. I want to give credit to him but dont want to deceive anyone.

To be honest I glossed right over the F2 in the description and when I first saw it but when I looked again I edited out my comment. You were totally up front with what you were selling and I certainly don’t see anything underhanded or shady about what you are doing. Totally on the up and up from what I see for what it’s worth.

sometime i think OG members are just too nice and just let almost anything go. as far as i can tell, you just dont f2 people’s genetic and sell them, at any price. if you respect the breeder, you cross your strain with their strain and sell that new F1 cross then give the F2 as freebies. any decent breeder would tell you that f2 are not as consistent as f1. to buy a 5pack of an f2 and think you gonna find anything similar to an f1 is wishful thinking. but hey, new fools are born everyday.
