BOG Sour Bubble

That one in the back is exactly what I look for in Sour Bubble, more vigorous than the others, secondary branching pushing through the main canopy, those pheno’s get huge outside. Here’s one of my f2’s.

Outta likes but I’ll say it out loud I like that. I never knew
or noticed that BOG used to call the Sour Bubble line a Viper. He was such a charismatic figure on the boards, always so enthusiastic of others running his seeds and enjoying their flowers. He was encouraging of others to make seeds of their own too!

The etymology of these things fascinate me. The earliest mention that I can find of BOG referring to the Sour Bubble line as being a Viper is from icmag on December 27 2004

Holy Shit! These reviews seem remarkable. Thanks to you both.

My son and I know that Sour Bubble kicks ass and St’ Teflon says that it’s the best he has found in Vancouver. Potent for sure she is. My viper is deadly serious huh? BOG

A few more mentions in February and April of 2005

Luckily the 3rd bx SB seeds are nearing finish. This thread is about over cept the shouting so I declare myself a winner and Sour Bubble a Viper to be tested by the world. I am sure she will rip your lungs out and throw your shit face down in the dirt but you won’t mind. My viper never lets you go wanting. BOG

In that thread it starts out saying that some may be aware that I have called my sour bubble strain my viper. BOG

Then we have November 2005 with a mention of a selected sour bubble cutting, aka elite queen viper

My clone selected from so man sour bubbles is elite queen viper in BOGLAND.

She does have that coffee or sometimes tobacco like smell and some phenos of sour bubble from seed vary to that type of sour. Something is very aromatic in this buddage and many flavors have been described. Lime, Bubblegum, Melon, Coffee, Tobacco, Hash and Sour above all.

All of you who have just given your testimonials to sour bubble do me great honor and it brings tears to my eyes when I am validated.

Appreciate you @buckaroobonsai for teaching me something new about one of my favorite humans and their breeding work. Much love

Ok, one more because it touches on Sour Bubble and mentions viper again. Maybe just me but when a breeder mentions mixing weed of one variety with another to “tone it down” that’s exactly the type of stuff I want to place an order for.

From January 2005 on icmag the original poster put up a review of sour bubble mentioning this

BOG shared some of his wisdom with me, by recommending that I blend Sour Bubble with Boggleum, together @ the same time. It’s a great idea. Not only does it tone down the devestating potency of it, but it makes a liitle bit last a whole lot longer, and the taste is wonderful

To which BOG replies and likens the mixing of varieties with Sour Bubble to traction control for a powerful sports car.

Thanks for your fine review of my viper. She is quite dangerous because like a Jaguar she is grossly overpowered. Mixing the bogglegum is like pushing the traction control button on the jag. It keeps you on the road at least. BOG

But, don’t drive on the sour bubble period.

Surely a nod to cruising with Gypsy in his Jaguar at top speed and BOG’s creative writing style in the same breath. I enjoy very much reading these blasts from the past. Hope y’all enjoy them too. Much love

A lot of the BOG stuff is the “no ceiling” kinda weed. I got a couple pheno’s from some TGTB gear (not his sour bub repro) and it’s been my favorite grow yet. Got a sour bubbelish pheno, a straight bubblegum one I’m vapin as budder right now. It’s amazing.

How do you water your indoor bed?

I’ve got my fingers crossed that the big badass one in the back is a boy!:crossed_fingers::four_leaf_clover:

It’s a girl, they’re all females. I took out the male I had for a straight flower run. I’ve been told (by tony and the guy who made the f2) that the taller one is the one to watch. @buckaroobonsai

5g bucket with a .5g jug. Feed the soil once a week and water outer edges when needed. Just gave the bed a 10g watering with humic/fulvic this morning on the outer edges

I have something similar. Went from water can to blumats to an olla for watering. Your plants seem to like it

They love it. This is my second run in the bed. Only issue I’ve come across is if I leave the plants to veg too long in solos and the root ball gets too big it will dry out faster and need watering around root zone more often to stay happy

Well, she’s pretty awesome :sunglasses:

Weekly soil feeding- ✓
Cleaned up underneath and inners- ✓
Ready for bulking up weeks- ✓

I always leave 3-5 nodes on each branch to insure all energy goes to making the best flower. And of course chop and drop for nutrients put back into soil for future runs

How they looking @Mithridate? They’re starting to stack some frost

They looking spectacularly good. I got my eyes on the taller female in the back. Usually these taller branchy gals are super limey, a bit less potent but they can yield quite well
