Makes total sense…well dang…
Bros Grimm did a great job. I think C99 is an excellent plant to grow, is my all around fave so far, and I still haven’t got sick of the up high after all these years.I bought seeds near the early release and made copies and over time took them to f3 and it’s still reliable and vigorous . It’s easy to grow and once established you can forget about it,it’s also potent, leaves the system without burnout, stable, shows sex in early veg and is heavy yielding outdoors. I have never found one that finishes indoor in 50 days though, closer to 60 is realistic.
Looks like you’ve done a great job with your seeds. Those C99s look beautiful
Thank you very much but the credit goes to sensi seeds and bros grimm
Those look great! What kind of smells are you getting from those?
Hi thx, pineapple, lime and ripened fruit
I believe this is from when Mr. Soul was working with Duke Diamond of Dominion Seeds. I’ve seen Soul put up other crosses in the past few years from when Duke was doing his breeding.
Wasn’t there some kind of fall out between the Brothers Grim and Duke?
From what I’ve gathered over the years is that Soul is just a marketing guy but likes to take credit for other peoples work. I know for a fact that Soul tried to steal Dukes Dominion logo, he sent me a shirt with his reworked dominion logo on it. I think the logo was only a small part of the problem though.
from the sound of it, it may go deeper than that, which is unfortunate
I’m aware of the controversy, however I’m not super concerned. The cannabis game is full of swindlers and liars, but they play their part in the proliferation of genetics. I hate that lineage gets muddled and names get changed, and the true breeder always gets left in the dark, but I would rather have some mystery fire than bunk with a name. If that makes any since.
Rick Campanella aka. Mr Soul was selling his genetics here in Tulsa for a few years out of a warehouse. I was going there for awhile buying his genetics. His plants looked like crap using unamended soil (Roots) that had become compacted in a drip irrigation system. I was mostly interested in the C-99, Apollo13 and Durban Thai but bought almost everything he made. The last strain I bought was Uptown Funk which was total bunk. His fame allows him access to rarer genetics that he crosses with his own. He was a nice enough of a person but I was so unimpressed with what I saw I stopped buying his genetics. Now don’t get me wrong as I am not bashing the man as he has some winning strains. But he like many others is using others genetics for his new creations. Nothing wrong in that as this is what is done. But his growing style has a lot to be desired. Guess that’s not so important if you are just making seed……
Been scooping the testers off their website after running the purple Cinderella this year and having amazing results. I made a purchase of 18 beans 2 packs on Thanksgiving, I sent them an e mail yesterday explaining I hadn’t been given a confirmation, no reply. I sent a text today after work and got an immediate call back, it was Mrs. Soul and she was super pleasant and accommodating, she apologized and said for the wait she would throw in another pack of testers and a pack of Cinderella 99 xx signed by Rick, aka Mr soul. Sweet fkn deal, and I’m gonna rock with them for a minute and see what they really have to offer.
very cool
I love Brothers Grimm.
I put two of the papaya 99 in water 2 days ago and I have like four five of the other testers. Also picked up a pack of the Rosetta Stone. Can’t wait to try them, but they’re regular and I only do female seeds right now
