Bubble bag question

My set comes with 73 and 25. No 45 bag. I’ll prolly use all 5 bags the 1st time so I can see for myself before I consider stream lining the process.

I agree, isopropyl does beat up the bags pretty good but high proof drinking spirits are prohibitively expensive and I gave up my still long ago.

I’m going with Dewalt & a paint mixing paddle. Separate bucket.

Just double checked mine… I have the same a 73. I think that was the largest yielding bag if I remember right (I don’t )

I’m going to give the drill a go next time too. You doing this today?

That’s my exact set up, 5 gallons at a time

Should I be thinking alcohol on the 1st run or just for long term after it gets stained or something? I figured just cold water rinse and hung dry.

That’s the plan

In order to clean the bag I just freeze it and then smash the remnants to dust. It can take a couple of rounds, but you can smoke the dust mmm good stuff!

I need to go read your thread… lol. This is a great idea.

Since you’re here… any input on the type of alcohol used if it comes to that? iso or ethyl? is the answer in your thread?

Love it. More zen and natural than solvents

Im so lazy now and not in a hurt for product so i just run 160/120/73…only keep the 73

Ethyl alcohol would be the best. Isopropyl damages nylon! My last bubble bags, I would rinse the work bag in cold water, but never… ever cleaned it in solvents. The bags start to smell like hash after a while like seasoning a wok.

I’m going to answer, but please understand that my response is purely from research and watching Frenchy Cannoli. Folks like Joe Crowe are actively doing this process, so give adequate weight to their input!
Frenchy rinses in alcohol after each pull so that the micron mesh doesn’t “clog” with residual material. That way the bags are as efficient from the first wash to the last.

In my hash op…220, 160, 120, 73, 25 are my bags. I mix the 120 and the 73 and that is my hash. I then take the 160 and combine with the 25. That can be lesser hash, vape fuel or edibles. I hot bottle roll both of them. The 120/73 gets made into balls and the 160/25 gets made into squares.
I mix in a bucket or washer and pour thru the bags. I clean the bags with iso each time.
Really, really cold water along with the ice gives good benefits. This past season I saved all my trim for one run. I also bought a 55 gallon Brute garbage can at home depot. Then fill that with water and wait for a 32 degree forecast day. That water is cold as it gets. Came away with 132 grams of bubble. The year before I only made 84. I know there could be other factors but I really feel that cold, cold water helped a lot toward the increase.

You really can’t mess up unless you put your bags together in the wrong order. Enjoy your hashish!

Does any one use heat and compression to make hash?

@OhNo555 iso = isopropyl alcohol :+1:

Can anyone elaborate on their process from the time they scrape it off the bags until it is drying? ie: do you press thin and let it air dry? into the freezer? etc… a lot of different info on this step. Curious what OG.com does.

Just checking to confirm my thought, thanks @mota for the heads up  :+1::sunglasses::peace_symbol:

I believe compression and heat squeeze out rosin. Not 100% sure.
