If you want that tar hash it works. There is no need for that cellophane or the loose leaf paper. Much easier to make an envelope out of parchment paper. Also much easier to recover. I would also sift that kief thru my bags first. Once thru the 160 and then thru the 73…I keep what’s on top of that 73…I got some pics here somewhere

Dry it in the freezer, never use isopropyl, and genetics determine the hash yield.

Ok, here’s a few pictures from Novembers haul. I make small envelopes of parchment paper. The bottle is filled with boiling water, then rolled across the full envelope. I hot water roll, bubble, dry ice sift, or keif the same way. Sometime, the dry ice hash needs a drop or two of water added while rolling. There is 132 grams on that tray, the balls being the better grade.

Bags are $40 or so, I have 2 sets. So for 5 years I have been washing them with isopropyl alcohol…and they are still here ready to go. I only got the 2nd set because I got smart squeezing the 25 bag and ripped it…But I need 2 sets anyway  My point is that iso cleans them fine, I have no damage and I also don’t have to put them in my freezer. It’s all about personal choices. You keep putting yours in the freezer and I’ll keep cleaning with iso and thinking about how cheap the cost is of these bags to begin with. I’m ok spending $80 five years ago and still having them…looking forward to year 6.

Also I’m still thankful to you for the sulfur tips on pm!! Never came back.

OK it’s about personal choices, but isopropyl is not compatible with nylon. You can look it up and I recommend everyone else look it up as well.
My MArcus ‘bubbleman’ quote is “Every time you use iso to clean your bags, it hurts my soul. I keep them cold and clean!”
Just in case… you wanted to hear from “another” expert, not just me.

Here are some scenes from inside the gold mine. 90 micron hash, and the bag I made it with. Keep that baby secure from dust and contamination!

This was the worst of the worst trim so I could get my feet wet. Old trim from a year ago that had already had a run in the trim bin. It was probably 10% by weight of all the rest of the material I have to go through. Trying to empty that freezer finally.

I’ll say u made out alright then and gonna have some decent smoke for a while with it

Any idea how long it stays in the freezer to dry? Seems pretty close by eye just overnight

Looks good! Time to make a trip to my freezer for a little snack myself

I asked around here about this and it seems like most of the pro’s are leaving in the freezer until they smoke it.

I don’t dry in the freezer just open air 🤷 couple days max that way for me

Especially if u rung the hell out of it with ur 25 micron drying screen that really speeds things up

Sounds reasonable but I guess I am looking for a dry time. I left it open and I’m worried it’ll get a freezer smell. I wonder if I’ll get terp loss on my better trim that actually still smells like the harvest with this method

How do you store it after its dry?

Jar it up with a boveda

Makes me wonder if that would be as effective in a less dry/non-desert environment.
