If your throwing the tent shell away you may as well throw the poles away as well.
A new tent will come with them.

Not sure about the carbon filter…
But the ducting stuff is easy enough to clean.

You can shampoo your carpet if you want, I would just give it a good vacuum job and call it done.

Damn that would’ve been a real blessing…I swear I just need one outdoor grow or “overgrow” my tent one time and I’ll be ok

Orrrr I could learn some patience and let the plants veg more :joy:

So it appears your issue was not due to a poor dry but bad bud sent to dry ?

Oh I got an extra replacement tent-shell from AC Infinity since the zippers broke & it had pinholes. They did not send extra poles so ill just have to clean em.

@Jetdro I didn’t see anything before the dry started. Not 100% sure when it happened. I know what to look for now though. Ill improve airflow. Any other tips?

Are you in VA? If you are and can get to Charlottesville, i got you covered with at least a zip. DM me if you’re interested.

i don’t want to say “over paranoid”…mold can be some scary stuff,i get it…i’ve tossed more than my share of bud because of it

but the reality is, unless you are immunocompromised. a little mold really isn’t a big deal…it’s just the nature of the product…there’s inevitably gonna be some, whether you see it or not

or at least, that’s what i like to tell myself when i realized i just took a fat toke of mold spores

Humidity less than 55% for the first weeks and 50 or lower in mid to late flower with good air movement above and below the canopy. I sometimes get a little windburn on the lower larf but it’s a price I’m willing to pay to keep PM and budrot away.
You’re second grow wasn’t a failure like you said, you did great getting them thru veg and all the way to harvest. You learn from these things and only get stronger. You got this bud! I’m just sorry you lost your meds from this one.

All I see you mention is only went over 65 once .

Doubt it happened in dry . If you had any kind of air moving at all , and temps at say 72 and under , humidity not over 65 I don’t think it happened there . I would suspect you grew it rather than caused it in the dry .

A good clean and restart with airflow and humidity in check is all you need . Don’t overthink it

@gonzo why not do an extraction with it?

last year i lost a pair of new shoes because i got a scratch on them and the rage took over after a week of stress and now i wear boots. i am terrible about destroying shit, used to be anyway as i am getting better.

back to the reason i stopped in to make a comment. i saw one that said to throw the poles away too but you needed them for the extra skin they sent. i would never throw away the poles from any tent unless they broke unless you want to do what i had to do with a tent once. i let a friend use it and it had no poles when it was given to me so we put together a frame with wood. i mean it worked, but would’ve gone so much easier had someone not thrown the poles away when one broke and before they gave it to me.

sucks about the mold though. what i have done before is nuke the bud before smoking it with mold in it. not sure if that is what saved me or the strain of mold wasn’t deadly. and it isn’t the worst thing i have ingested. i’m not recommending that you do it, it may kill you or make you sick. but i think i read somewhere about a program where they can determine what kind of mold it is with a sample, your local agriculture office may be able to help with it, as long as you’re in a legal state. i’d hate to see you get busted if they find a small sample of pot in the mold sample. good luck with it.

Hey @Gonzo , unkind news about the botrytis. While the contaminated buds are no good for smoking, our stomachs can handle a bit of mold spore, no problem. You do have the option to make edibles with it. I would do it outdoors or in an out building to keep any stray mold spores out of your home. Also a good ozone drenching of the room your tent is in will kill off any arrant mold spores. I use a uvc bulb with a remote switch. Research a bit before you use uvc because it has inherent dangers.

That is a good suggestion @Budderton, I do the UVC routine after each grow and haven’t had a grow room bug or mold problem since I started. Thirty minutes UVC light to saturate the room with ozone, then a full hour running the fan to exhaust the gas outdoors.

Sorry to hear of your loss @Gonzo,

Mold sucks.

Edibles is a good solution.

I have gotten bud rot on individual colas while still growing and just cut them off aggressively and the rest was fine.

Visible mold, don’t smoke it.
