My bad I missed that or forgot. Sure should be a sensational affie
My topic notification alert stays on, so I don’t miss anything hehehe! Congratulations for the excellent work !
@Cranio , @Oldtimerunderground , @WVMountainGhost , @nobodyknows thanks for the support! I appreciate it.
Had to go back and read again myself. It is tickling my memory, but I seem to remember reading that doctor greenthumb early Iranian was actually La affie or auto affie.
Back on point. Good great job. Your picture of the difference in stretch made me laugh. I usually grow stuff that stretch like the og.
I planted a hp 7 and expecting some stretch. I think it went in at 20 and finished at like 22. Never occurred to me that it would not stretch.
A couple of post pollination pics of some lowers, still dripping wet from their post pollination shower.
Should be some F2s coming down the pipeline.
LA Affie #9 x AHP
Some pics of the A9’ f1’s you sent me in early veg - are you growing this round for further seed-generations of your Afghani project .? - i think you only partially pollenate each plant, is that correct ? ( or im thinking of someone else maybe.).?!
. Lol.
I seen that you hardly had any stretch once flipped, so i will veg these til their big enough to flip.
They are all quite similar ( mine.) in veg though iv taken a couple of the big fan leaves from the two biggest - i have a runt only cause I had two in the same pot & i accidentally pulled both when I was separating them and the ‘runt’ took a bit longer to recover.
Anyway thanks again @Budderton - keep your eyes open for your mailman/postman - i got your stuff on the way to you only yesterday ….
I also have a couple of the ‘Sherbet Castle’ cross you sent me too ,in veg …
I’ll tag you once they’re big enough & flowering okay.
Happy growing peeps’ …

Yes I am. I pollinated the lowers of some females and I’ll keep the seeds from the ones that fit my criteria, after testing, to use for the F2s.
They are all quite similar
Yep. And they are quite similar into flower so far(at 3 wks in) with minor variations of branch angle. Some spred out a bit and some hold the bud closer to the main stalk( which I prefer for indoor growing)
Terp profiles still developing.
I’m glad to see your getting similar results.

Yeah, only a couple inches of stretch, so get them as big as you want them to be before you flip. My Dad is running a few in his greenhouse this summer, so I’ll have some Intel in that department.
keep your eyes open for your mailman/postman
Thanks man! I appreciate that!
These A11s, the dwarfs, are turning out nice. I shucked the fans off one side to give a better view of the structure before they get pollinated. Fatter buds, more trichs, and a stronger smell then the A9s at this point in time but shorter, leafier, with almost zero stretch.
As always, apologies for the shitty quality phone pics.
Wow, stoked I bumped into this thread @Budderton this is awesome. I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing some line breeding on some stuff I have that I like right now, this whole approach is really food for thought. Beautiful looking affies too dude
Looking great. Love the structure on these
@LegsMahoney , @Emeraldgreen , thanks guys.
how have i missed that project, very nice! I’m a huge afghani-fan myself.
If the time has come we can trade some if you’re itnerested
For sure @mndlss . Once the F2s are in and cured there should be lots to go around. Follow along and hit me up when I post the F2s are ready, and I’ll get a few flips out to you. No need to trade.
You think that I could get in on that deal ? I have some Afghani from Mark on Strainly that I’d like to cross to your line.
@Indoornesian Have you grown out any of the Afghani from Mark yet? I got some of those too that he was selling as Afghani 1. I’ve grown Afghani 1 from Sensi and I was curious to see how close they might be. He told me he got them from Vancouver seed bank which didn’t tell me much, but I was hoping they came from older Sensi stock.
I had a few going awhile back, the couple that I did keep were surprisingly good given the fact that they were slow vegging. One I put into flower quicker than the other and didn’t clone. The slower plant got cloned and bred.
After the first plant finished I realized that I should have cloned her. So I did the smaller version and with good results. Small compact plants with little stretch, tight pine cone shaped nuggets.
What smells and flavor did you get off yours? Were they around 55-60 day flowering?
For sure @Indoornesian . Should be about 8 wks till they’re cured and ready to pack up.
I’ll be here watching @Budderton
@WVMountainGhost definitely finished around the 55 day mark. The smells were somewhat floral with hints of pinesol. Also I might add that the flowers darkened to almost black. The flavor was true to the smells in the jar a little sweet. Also I should say that this is definitely an evening smoke, I made the mistake of trying it out in the morning and quickly labeled it a nighttime weed.
EDITED to add, once I took it longer than 60 days and it started herming.
