The POS hit 2 of my Sour Grapes also. Glad I came in and checked things today. The cages should fix the problem

My second favorite plant in the world. Something else I grow but this one takes a minimum of 10 years to harvest. Iā€™ve made many, many thousands walking the woods harvesting this. Any of you alall know what it is?

It has to be Ginseng. I never hunted it but I lived in the Appalachians a few times and the locals made it part of their yearly income. Pot, too. Liquor, too. heh.

@GMan that is it. Iā€™ve been harvesting the wild for over 40 years and growing it for over 30. The Chinese believe it has many medicinal properties and have been using it for thousands of years.

I used to watch one of those reality tv shows about it. I forget the name. It was sort of like that moonshining show. Itā€™s a way of life.

I remember that show but forget the name also. Believe it or not right as that show was airing was the best market I had ever seen. The show did make it look like it was a get rich thingā€¦i never new a rich digger, most are poor hillbillies. That year I sold for 1200.00 a pound of dried root. Now let me say it takes an unbelievable amount of work to dig 10 pounds plus it helps to have many years experience. Everybody and their brother started digging thanks to that show and flooded the market with small root. The next year you couldnā€™t get 400.00 a pound. Now it is around 800.00.

Hello once agian everyone. Sorry I havenā€™t updated like I should have. I am having a terrible problem with my internet connection, like I donā€™t have one from home. Hopefully they are getting it lined out. Iā€™ve also put in a huge garden, food plots, caught I donā€™t know how many raccoonā€¦100 plus(animal control workā€¦my side gig) and it has quit raining and we are dry as heā€™ll here.
Most of my plants are looking great. I have a few that are not up to par but overall Iā€™m happyā€¦we just need some rain so I can stop packing water

This is BOG Sour Strawberry #1 looking great. The lab is a big boy so he gives you some idea the size of the plant

Grows looking good! Cages work for rabbits, a 22 is also pretty effective lol.

I had no idea about ginseng, I thought you could just buy it at the grocery store? I think Iā€™ve been confusing it with ginger lol. Iā€™ll have to see if it grows here in Canada and keep an eye out for it.

Oh yeah, ginseng country. Sorry for the lapse. Heh

#Tinytuttle thanks much. Iā€™m not a very good photographer but Iā€™ll do my best on those pics. I hope I get better as time goes by.
#GMan Iā€™m in the hopeless Land of Lincoln and let me say Iā€™m a long ways south of Chicago. As I was posting earlier I had to come in because it started to rain. Iā€™d say we only got 1/4-3/8 of an inch but hey, Iā€™ll take it. It will buy me a couple days. We could really use a couple inches over 3-4 days. I havenā€™t seen corn over knee high yet and it usually head high by now
And #breached thanks. I would take care of them if I could see them. They have a lot of tall cover where they are at and I havenā€™t laid eyes on one yet. My box traps have all been busy on jobs but they are slowing down so hopefully here real soon I can set them and start thinning them out. A good buddy has beagles but itā€™s a large area really grew up and we would never see them. Snares would be best but the neighbors have a beagle that is back in there constantly and Iā€™d catch him sure as hell

Here is a BOG Sour Grape. I canā€™t wait to try this one, itā€™s BOG gear it has to be fire

This is a Bodhi GG4 Ɨ SSDD. Real happy with this plant. If I can keep the critters and rippers away itā€™s going to be a big one. Oh yea, and keep it hydrated and fertilized

The top plant is a Sour Blutooth and the bottom one is a Bogglegum. These are 2 of my favorites so far. They are in a great spot by the creek that Iā€™ve used for years. Both are right at 5 foot tall and have at least 6 more weeks of growing left before they start to flower
