CADMANs Cannabis Thread!

I’ve had decent results with 1 gallon pots.
How often do you need to water the party cups when in flower?

Almost daily… probably realistically 2 to 3 days in veg & 2 days max in flower…
I always let them dry right out most of the time.

@chronix, my last solo-cup run they were getting 3oz in the am, and 1.5oz in the pm. 18/6 light cycle.

I didn’t measure my watering lol just until I got run off.

I just picked up some Seedling trays today so I can water the tray and let the cups suck up the water… Also got a bag of HP Pro Mycorrhizae

Wife’s cabinet shelf update: @Meesh

She just got started today with organizing things but so far this is what she has made…

She said it will change with her ideas untill she’s happy with it.

10x20" Seedling tray filled with HP Pro Mycorrhizae and a blend of Organic Bonsai Soil Mixture… all the plants are fake except the Bonsai…
Any recommendations on live plants to place in here @Meesh of any types ?

Hey OG’ERS

I’ve been lurking alot on OG lately & I’m really liking :+1: what I’m seeing with @Old-Ron thread about his Earth Boxes…

So I did some research & I think I’m ready to try it out, but of course in my own fashion lol

Picked up several 8" X 6.5" plastic flower pots and some Tupperware containers from the dollar store…

The Rez Measures 8" X 6.5"
Max water fill is 8" X 3.25"
The soil container is 8 cups / 1/2 gallon in size.

So this is how I’ll be using my new containers.
Water in the Rez (bottom container)
Soil filled Container placed on top ( I used a 2" Net cup & i’ll fill this with cottonballs for whicking water up to the soil )
Drilled hole in the container lid to place over the plant and I’ll use a garage bag underneath the lid to trap all moisture inside while preventing anything from getting inside the soil, like pests example (Gnats)

I’ll be using HP Pro Mycorrhizae pre amended with basic nutrition and top dress later on (hense the removal lid)

The Rez water line will max out at almost Excatlty half the size of the bottom container.

When I want to replace the water & air inside the rez I’ll simply remove the top container with the soil + plant inside.

Debating if I actually need an air hole/overflow in the rez at anypoint…

I do have some red tuck tape to cover the soil container to block light, just not shown here.

OK! This sounds like FUN!

I will definitely be following along. Like how you are doing things.

How will you check the water level and fill it?

I would suggest an air hole / overflow. You want some air getting in there I feel.

Awesome, glad to have you along.

To check the water level I’ll be lifting the top portion off the bottom portion, so this will let me feel the weight of the soil container and confirming its received enough water and visually ill see how much water is left in the rez.

I do like the idea of a overflow hole only because then it’s easy to have the water at max fill 247.

I’ll be lifting the pots off the rez often enough that I’m not too worried about any stagnant air, it would be replaced often…

I really do like the Earth Boxes and I love self watering 5gal buckets but I wanted to make it smaller and cheaper lol

Nice! I ran 20 gallon sips this way. I’d recommend adding a little em1 to the reservoir as it’ll dominate the other bacteria in there and you wont need to aerate the water. It went like a rocketship when i got it dialled in.

Em1 = Lactobacillus Serum correct, I can just make some again. I’ve never tryed it in a rez compartment, only on soil as a spray or watering it In…
