Can we talk spider mites?

You’d have to be careful, you might create a mighty mutant mite

Apparently a harmless looking ladybug can eat 100 Borg a day, what if they developed a taste for humans :fearful:

Sorry for insisting but I cleaned my tent with a vapouring machine and all eggs and mites were boiled, vapour reaches every place where they hide. Haven’t seen anyone since, fingers crossed … :sunglasses:

I think I might invest in one of those they are back.

Sorry to hear that. My flower tent is pretty crowded now , I have to blame the breeders estimated flowering period or perhaps it is just my bad . I have only seen fungus gnats in the colour traps.

I don’t think your Mrs. will blame you for buying one, they’re very handy for house cleaning, cheers … :sunglasses:

Some very nice colour contrasts there, that bright green one on the right really pops next to the purple one.

I have a steam mop for cleaning ceramic and wood floors, a bit awkward to hold against the walls, but perfect for the floor of the tent.

I may give that a try over the weekend, I pulled everything out of the veg tent and sprayed with bleach and water again. Then stripped the plants down to this and sprayed them as well. It seems as soon as the temps get up around 25C they appear in the veg tent those 4 plants were all mite free before they went in there.
Before

After

No place to hide on the plants now. Just left 1 leaf per branch.

This man speaks truth. Dudes would rather rent steam cleaners, buy ladybugs, spray soap, and toss out plants than trying anything actually effective. Y’all can struggle if you want. I smoke my own product, if I thought it was actually harmful I wouldn’t use it.

Just discovered the culprit behind a couple tops on one plant that were looking funny. Leaves curling and browning, found a couple weird fuzzy white things under the leaves, initial thought was mold, but it didn’t looks like PM or downy. Found out it was early stage mealybugs. Good thing imidacloprid is 100% effective. Feels good to solve problems. Watch out for that one, it’s rare in indoor grows which is why I never thought to look for it, must have tracked it in on my shoes somehow.

Yes, I can see now steamboats navigating in the Mississipi oldtimer frech|nullxnull , Spanish is the second language more spoken in the world after the Chinese, in less than a decade there will be more people speaking Spanish in the U.S.A. bandit|nullxnull than in Spain, I know you will not be one of them, you always expect people to speak English and never learn other languages … ejem|nullxnull

Back to topic I spray firstly the tent with a mix of bleach with soap and then apply the steam, easy does it. My machine is portable so easier to handle … :sunglasses:

Is that a warning? avatar38|nullxnull frech|nullxnull Hope not, I know we have different thoughts but we both like weed and that should be something to share, always williing to learn from the masters … :sunglasses:

It doesn’t. Don’t spray past early flower and use some common sense when spraying (long pants, gloves, etc). Powerful tools require caution but when you have a problem, it’ll solve that problem.

You’ll be fine. You’ve smoked miticide residues a million times, you just didn’t know it.

That’s why now I grow my own grass, at least I know what I vape. People have been working with asbestos for decades and now they know it provokes cancer. I just put some info and let the people decide, wouldn’t want to criticize what you do, to each his own, cheers … :sunglasses:

hey guys where do you notice mite damage first and can it be confused with a nute deficiency? I got leaf damage on new growth and its light green and it never was before also overwatering?? Perhaps

Too bad imidacloprid is 100% poison and banned in cannabis cultivation. You may not think it’s harmful, but you’re wrong. That’s why it’s banned. As I said before, keep using condescending terminology, and I’m going to keep quoting you. You can post your opinion without bashing other methods or acting like you know everything.

Mite damage is very distinct. You will see small white dots on the leaves. Turn the leaves over and you will most likely see them with the naked eye. I think for mites to discolor leaves, you would have to have a severe infestation.
