Can you still land a kick flip?

I’m 36 y/o started skating at about 13 and it quickly became life. Partying, girls and skating were daily life. I can still land a kickflip and thank god cause now it’s time to teach my son to skate. He’s 3 and been riding with me at least a year. But knees and ankles being fully shot with minimal range of motion greatly effects what I’m able to do. Just grateful I can still hop on the board and cruise. It’s still one of the moments when I feel free-est in this world and I just want to pass that down to my son

Skating was a huge part of growing up for me, used to love it all then had to stop skating street after 3 knee ops so just stuck to transition then eventually just mini ramps… My wife recently got me a new board for my 42nd birthday, I think she wants to see me in pain. Hit the park the other day and it is NOT like riding a bike, man I was scared shitless just trying to rock a fakie after a 5 year hiatus. My 2 year old daughter is obsessed with it already so hopefully I can live my dreams through her instead haha. Surfing and snowboarding are a lot easier on the body these days.
I just remembered a bumper sticker from when I lived in British Colombia that said “SNOWBOARDING realizing all your skateboarding dreams”… so true

This is my homie, I used to keep his jar full and he would swap all his shoes and clothes for payment… got to love a good barter arrangement. Now he is one of Adidas’s top team members, proud to see how far he has come. One of the most stylish skaters around at the moment

Finding a board brand that can handle 200+ lb ollies is tough.
What brand you guys recommend I’ve already killed a girl and baker lately

Jamie Foy is a big boy and defies gravity on these decks, worth a shot. If that doesn’t work maybe a carbon fibre deck, not even sure they exist. The do in surfboard design

I remember the element fiberlight had the carbon band going down it. My buddy had one back in like 04. I usually ride alien workshops during more recently a death board(should be a pic in either this thread or the skate/BMX thread) and both have held up great, I’m 225lbs btw and no issues yet from weight.

Jamie is a beast and looks like he shouldn’t be getting so much pop, never judge a book by its cover aye…
