Canadian LPs. Any good ones while I wait for my grow license?

Hello Overgrow!

I have been a registered medical user for about 10 years now. I used to grow my own back with the MMAR. When the MMPR came, i joined with a company called Bedrocan. Bedrocan was a pretty decent LP. They had good potent strains (0 - 24% THC) and it was all $5 a gram. I was happy and had no reason to grow my own. My 30 grams only cost me $180.80.

Then Canopy Growth Corp bought Bedrocan and cancelled the $5 pricing for new members and stopped selling the high THC strains, effectively killing the $5 pricing for everyone.
The crap these people sell now is garbage and overpriced. I strongly recommend staying away from them.

Because of this, I have applied to grow my own again. While i wait for approval. i need to choose an interm place to buy my med pot. Has anyone had any experience with any of the other LPs?

Thanks

Ganja

Really there are no trustworthy LP’s in Canada IMO. I’ve tried Broken Coast, Aurora, Tweed, Hydropothecary, Mettrum and Tilray. None of them really had anything to write home about, and for the gouging prices they are sold for they are just not worth it. Not to mention some were irradiated/seeded.

The fact that many Canadian LPs have been caught for using banned pesticides/fungicides and are still operational is enough to make me tell anyone to steer clear from any and all LPs as they’re in it for money and only money.
LP pricing is horrible and the product isn’t even that good for the most part, black market weed in BC is so cheap it’s almost laughable.

Hope you can find somewhere to get some dank for a decent price. Good luck.

Just tried some Super Lemon OG from Tweed. Was branded with the dna genetics label came in 20 gram pill bottle and was labelled 25.2% thc. Our 4 chronics sampled it, and the results were pretty consitent. The nugs ere trimmed and cured well, aroma was mild and the smoking experience was of average mids. a mild high with a 2 hr. lifespan. My poorly grown super lemon haze from greenhouse was a more potent smoke. Yeah really, we were kinda surprised at the lack of punch, tastewise is something I would expect from extremely flushed chem nute hydro grow style. This would be the kind of smoke that would be on the coffee table for anyone to smoke, and not squirreled away with the good buds, that only come out when good friends show up. I don’t know what the patient paid for it but outdoor mids grown organically, is a far better and cheaper Sure glad I have a bit of gardening skills, cause this upcoming recreational weed is gonna just be asolute garbage with an organized crime price tag. Start learning now, grow your own and right off your gardening supplies instead of just getting your sales tax back. Or find an existing med grower under the acmpr.

licensed producer. tweed (canopy growth) is buying up most of the others, trying to build a monopoly of shit. i bet they send the very tip of the cola for testing then sell you the bottom larf, it’s how my experience was with aphria and delta9, just overpriced garbage, add in shipping and you’re waiting 2-3 days and paying 13$ a gram even if theyre in the same city

The CFO of the Liberal party is co-founder of tweed. These people are as crooked as they come. Overgrow the LP’s.

Support your local growers. Not the corporate carpetbaggers. I wouldn’t give “Tweed” one red cent, even if they COULD grow fire.

a family member was considering investing in tweed, i told him to buy a pound instead. bigger and more frequent returns

If someone in my family suggested that, I would tell them to unfriend me on FB and lose my number LOL
That’s like investing in Monsanto.

2 posts were split to a new topic: Are you investing in marijuana stocks?

i am applying for a position with a new licensed producer in the area, need to type up a resume and cover letter. i think they mean copious amounts of bud porn.

my real intention is gain access to a large facility to run breeding projects, because i am limited with space

I have had good success with thcbiomed Not only do they sell clones at 20/cut they have an interim price of 4.20/gram if you order cuts and 6/gram if you don’t.

Screw $8-15 plus tax stale garbage

And no point in waiting months for a backdated grow license. Just copy your paperwork you sent in and start growin. As long as you are under the radar nobody is gonna bug you

yes i don’t think any of the LPs can compete with black market, especially now that they want to try adding in 3 more middle men to the recreational market. i imagine medical will still be able to buy direct from producer but the prices are absolutely ridiculous.

with a cost of production under $2 there is absolutely zero excuse for charging 8-20 a gram. fuck your shareholders you’re supposed to be producing medicine, not making all your friends rich.

SHITweed purchases BC facility for $500 million last year, apparently suffers their second total crop failure of 200k plants … i get the feeling the crop started to go to shit or PM/pest outbreak so they trashed it and collected the crop insurance … what do you think?

Wouldn’t put something like that past a for profit company pushing mids at best. Dealers wet dream to sell pounds at inflated gram prices. Can’t even imagine the kind of profit they are making.

Isn’t it amazing how a company supposedly worth billions can’t even grow better weed than I did when I was 16 years old in a closet with shit equipment? They’re either going to have to majorly drop their price and raise quality, or things just going to keep going as they always have.

I’m hoping for a booming home growers market like montreal in the mid 2000s. Cheap good weed everywhere.
