Since the government puts the DEA in charge of drug scheduling, and the DEA is staffed to put people in jail over cannabis, I donât see the DEA changing anything because they could never justify their huge budget and staff after. The only real way to get it done is to pass a bill in congress and have a president who will sign it. We all know how that goes.
