Should I drive over to E Palestine and drop off 10 thousand free seeds to everyone? Should I just drive the roads and Johnny Appleseed the ditches? Would the plant remove toxins from the soil? I have a mason jar full of mixed beans maybe E Palestine needs the OG special treatment !
Over Grow the world!
Don’t do that! You KNOW that if any of those plants make it to harvest, it would be horrible for those people to smoke. And they would absolutely smoke it
I say “Johnny Appleseed” them!!! Be a great surprise for the folks, and just imagine what an open pollination of 10k seeds thru the ditches would produce in the coming years!!!
I say OG E Palestine!!!
I have thought about doing that with autos.
Birds like seeds.
The bad thing about that is, what if it’s a male plant? You will definitely fuck up other people’s outdoor grow…Male pollen can travel 5 miles bromigos…Hope this helps.
I agree with that. All female seeds.
I’ve heard it could travel farther than that if there’s enough of it.
I know they can measure the spores of mushrooms. They’re pretty high around the end of August in North America.
If it’s a collection of “UNKNOWNS”, I’ll be more than willing to pass 'em out as “Mystery” Packs. The last time I did that, it was well received. Just putting it out there. SS/BW…mister
Cannabis can be used for soil remediation because it’s a fast growing wind-pollinated annual. That being said, usually hemp is preferred for that purpose because the plant is unusable after it uptakes all the nastiness in the soil. There are papers about using it to remediate former mining sites since it picks up heavy metals readily. Once you’ve got the plant loaded up with a bunch of nickel and lead and cadmium you don’t really want anything to do with it though.
I don’t know how it does with hydrocarbons though, the main stuff that’s contaminating east palestine is vinyl chloride, there are some others but I’m not sure the research is out there for cannabis remediating soil that way the same way it is for heavy metals on mine tailing sites.
So what happens with the plants after they have loaded up on nasty heavy metals. Wherever they decompose they will just dump all the heavy metals back in the soil.
Of COURSE my post is not serious beyond the scientific question. I would never just take matters into my own hands per say. For one I don’t want to tangle with Feddys and Nat Guard or get involved in anything that might get me in trubble! Second as Phil mentioned it could mess up people’s work more than it is now. Mutations may also occur with so much toxins. Seriously though If hemp can clean the soil in a proper fashion maybe that could be a solution. Not sure if hemp collects dioxins?
I think burn off destroys it. Not sure the research needs done if it has any legs or potential.
Could mushrooms collect dioxins I wonder…

Obviously we are Dealing with different compounds in Ohio but it sure seems worth a shot. Heavy metals can be removed from cannabis and it can still be used after a cleanup for things like bio fuels.
I believe they do, but burning plants with contamination in will just put that contamination into the air.
If you nail somebody’s crop with pollen and prevent them from smoking that crap you are doing them a favor
People do this all over Niagara every year! They get them growing in the flower planters above streets, the displays by the falls, the police station , city hall etc. by Marineland there’s a huge patch of land that is between a huge fence and a ditch. 4-5 years ago there was literally 1000 plants there, it was a sight to behold. But the pricks sprayed em with weed killer . A spot my sons and I like to fish is also riddled with them every year. My sons take pride in finding them, pointing them out! “Dad look at that one, it’s almost black, and wow it stinks real good” haha definitely a proud dad moment. I’ve always wondered who’s responsible but I gotta admit I look forward to seeing where they toss them this year. On a sad note it’s also the reason I stopped growing outdoors here, that and since legalization every year I envision giant clouds of pollen enveloping my city each and every year !
Stoner scientists. OG bio rescue research team.
Paul Stamets successfully trained oystermushroom mycelium
to break down & thrive on used engine oil.
Blanket contaminated soil with a layer of sawdust, woodchips, straw, all inoculated with spores and mycelium slurry and a year later it’ll be a whole lot cleaner.
This book blew my fuckin’ mind.
