Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome

Sounds like you may have a reason to tell them. You’re welcome to do as you please.

I’m not concerned about doctors/nurses violating HIPAA, I’m concerned about them putting a note in my medical records. Medical records may be subject to discovery. They don’t go away. Insurance company lawyers love reasons to deny coverage. I also don’t want my personal habits following me around when doctors review records.

Wouldnt it be nice if there were as detailed records available to patients on the doctors? like “this doctor once declared a patient as a crack cocaine user because the patient told him he ‘smoked a little pot’”

Im all for transparency. You cant work in the dark. These docs are a little out of their element with food and lifestyle being sedintary garbage. Theyre looking for love in all the wrong places

Could be pesticides…but it could be that nasty buTAINTED fare that is so prevelant these days. The timeline seems to coincide with this BS showing up, IMO.

can’t be good for ya. Not at all. Sure isn’t “cannabis”.

I know where I’m at they drench most everything in botanigard(beauvaria bassiana) through week 3-5 of flower. It can have some gnarly effects for some

I used to have this problem in the early 2000s. I’m about 90% sure it was all the sulphur they were using on the pot. Once I was able to get pesticide/sulphur free weed the issue never came back. And my dosage level is pretty consistently high for about 30+ years. peace
(btw, I have a friend who works at a large cultivation facility and you would not believe the amount of shit they legally can spray on these buds in his state, it’s a little concerning)

Here everyone gives a urine sample upon admission, even for applying for Disability. They know you smoke and know you lie about smoking.

I used to build antique cars and painted them, painted everything from diesel rigs to motorcycles.
I was in charge of two big trucking bodyshops.
We used hundreds of chemicals, one labled “isocynates” I think, it would accumulate in your system and any exposure later to that or similar solvents would cause a reaction. Mine was breathing restrictions.
Some perfumes and artifical scents will lock me up 30 years later.

Combustion of a plant material will expose you to carcinogens

Theres also “abdominal migranes”

Ya getting any kind of “drug seeker/user” in your file and you will screw yourself if you ever really get hurt. Automatically assume no matter what, hand can be hanging off bone, nope just seeking pills couple aspirin and be on your way.

It’s the millennials and gen z dabbing concentrated thc and trace pesticides.
They probably never eased into the habit either so of course they’re going to get messed up.

That is a very good point man… I’m turning 40 soon and fortunately grew up smoking joints, bowl, pipes, etc. Concentrates and dabs don’t really interest me and can’t imagine being a new user being thrown into that world. Also consider more potent cannabis with chemicals and other nasty items into the mix. Sounds like trouble if you ask me

I’m sure she isn’t representative of everyone with CHS but they had a woman on Curious About Cannabis awhile back talking about her experience. I mostly gathered that she didn’t think much of dabbing to the point of passing out, and initially consumed more cannabis to treat her cannabis-induced vomiting. I don’t think that describes most cannabis consumers.

ETA: Just to be clear I’ve smoked daily or close to it for 30+ years and haven’t had uncontrollable vomiting yet.

My opinion is that it’s related to cannabis potency getting higher and higher and higher. … more specifically, the imbalance on the emphasis of higher THCA against the other cannabinoids

Some old heads often declare that “weed got me higher in my day” — also my 2 cents on that statement, Yeah that was probably the case because you didn’t have decades of cannabinoid overuse dulling your sense, now requiring some 30+% bomb to barely get your rocks off :man_shrugging: BUT, that also might be true because I think older styles of cannabis had a more balanced array of overall cannabinoids vs. these modern Cookies-crosses bred for heavy frost production

Long story short: weed is too strong for our endocannabinoid systems because we’re breeding weed for our EYES (visual appeal) not for our MINDS

Totally disagree with this statement. High THCa test results don’t correlate with a stonger high in my experience. Most of the dumb cookies high THC stuff I get high once and then nothing (but I can switch to other flower and be a-ok).

People want high THC numbers and buds that look a particular way because IG and pop culture told them those things were important.

Yup, yup, 100%.

I kinda miss that old stuff I used to get, gave a soap taste at the end, and was insanely pliable like play dough. Now that I think of it, it was probably soaked in coke Cola or something :flushed: in the early 90s era.

I got tons of crazy nice (and some not as nice) kind bud in the early 90s. Essentially never had a name, it was just kind bud. Thankfully no Coca-Cola.

Admittedly one big difference is back then I’d run out sometimes, and smoke resin or whatever until I got more. Now… I have as much as I want.

In a weird way I feel like I have more control now that it’s endless.

i know a guy who broke his arm to get pills and another who cut off a finger for them. it happens. it also screws up the anesthesia if you go under when you’re a heavy smoker and don’t tell anyone. i had a freind who thought it would be smart not to tell them and woke up during a surgery a few years ago.
