Cannatrol users

Most of use already have gigantic Cannatrol machines that we call a dry room. This thing isn’t a cold fusion reactor.

Do people realize to bring even a POS to market costs money? Say a Cannatrol type project costs $270… Then figure at least 2.0 hours labor to assemble project. At $65 per hour, thats $130. Basic parts and labor cost is $400.

My goodness, someone is sensitive.
Did you write what I quoted or not?

Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t automatically make others stupid

Comparing a Cannatrol to a wine fridge is like comparing a freeze dryer to a freezer. They clearly do different things if you pay attention to the product details.

Mike Cannatrol sits on top of the $3000 Jenn air wine fridge and you are correct they are two completely different animals I would never drive my bud in the Genaire and I would never keep wine in my Cannatrol

Couldn’t have said it better brother!!!
And like you, still waiting for a “homemade” unit to come out that uses only 75 watts, hell, a small humidifier will run that. I’ve seen MAYBE 2 out there that possibly come close, but still draw more than 75 watts.
All in, the naysayers can say what they want. I’m perfectly, and entirely happy with mine.

Most of the people who buy the Cannatrol’s are pretty chill folks let’s keep this thread that way

was nice of you to throw out an olive branch like that👍

Well, that’s clear, first of all I’m new here.

And secondly, I wanted something from you.
To be honest, I’m a bit shocked that things have got so rough.

I’m really glad that I was able to read your experiences with the Cannatrol, that goes for everyone here in the thread.

all over now just let it lie …
we are all growers/stoners , drunks fight , stoners love :boom:

@Jetdro I am very curious what your current time/temp recipe for the Cannatrol is. ALOT of people have said they are plenty happy with the stock setup, but I’m willing to experiment.

said it above , dp to 53.5 on all stages , 68 F temp . Pull at 7 days or so and stabilize in Grove bag

doing it right now actually

When I get it stable at 59 or 60 I’ll stab it in the Grove bag

That’s a sweet tray.

Have you perhaps already had a setting where the buds come out with 61%RH?
Grovebags says this is the optimum humidity for the Grove Bags, I wanted to try it out exactly like this.

Hey how’s it going? I just got a cannatol, actually it should be here in today. I’m excited and also nervous about it. Heard good and bad things just hoping it’s worth the investment for my family. Smell and taste trumps all in our family and I’ve heard some people saying it can make it smell like hey. Hey is a no go for us lol. Anyway if anyone could help me out with some good info or share there experience with settings I would be very grateful thanks and have a blessed day!!!

set all 3 settings to dp of 53.5
sponge in on second day
start pulling and checking day 6
place in ziplock with meter
pull out when 58 to 60 holds stable

IF YOU USE DEFAULTS, bud tested will be at 55 % , way too dry and nothing will fix that ala hay

UPS Strikes again…

Loaded up on the truck and life is beautiful!.. Right…

Awesome! Now that I’ve taken off work and lost wages so I can be home for a scheduled delivery which can only be signed for.

Seriously!? What the fuck does it take to show just a bit of competence and professionalism nowadays?

I’m interviewing managers and estimators at the shop I run.
Its scary who’s out there in the “employment pool” today, but that may just be a whole other thread, lol!

I wrote to Davey from Cannatrol.

He recommended that I set the dew point in the curing cycle from 52 to 54.

Then the weed should come out at 60-61%.

Have you ever tried that?

My unit is arriving today. Going to move my recently acquired mini fridge upstairs to wifes office. I can always use that as I am now for sealed storage in Grove Bags or mason jars at 60F.

@Jetdro and @Kgrim or anyone else using the Cannatrol, lol…

I think while my current grow is doing its thing in vegetation, I’ll move all my weed into the Cannatrol. I guess I can lay out the buds or keep them in Grove Bags left opened. I may even do the hemp-paper bag thing. I kinda like the nostalgic aspect of it.
I think theres a preset for storage on the unit, but what are your recommended settings? I keep my weed at 62% and typically vape as well. Thanks for any suggestions!
