No cons, only positive results. For anyone who hasn’t already dialed in a satisfactory personal drying/curing method, or anyone who lives in a region where the environmental conditions are not conducive to a good dry, the unit is worth its cost. It will pay for itself, over time, and you will always have tasty, well dried and, cured bud.
How do you actually square that in your mind? The most controlled atmosphere available to dry and cure (Cannatrol) vs. “traditional” which is a hacked together room at best with multiple control units fighting each other and all variables going up and down by several full digits… before being brought back into alignment.
They’ve done the lab tests… Cannatrol weed has MORE terps trapped in the weed. But I guess having them volatize off forever long before smoking is a much better proposition?
I sure appreciate your insight!! You are talking of a longer cure. After the initial 8 days, can it be put into jars or grove bags and store as usual? I would assume so. Thoughts?
Yes after 8 days it can be stored…
Yeah man in my opinion the 4/4 is only for commercial … kind of a joke… not really a cure… its a point of stability… it takes longer… if you want what everyone considers cured among actual smokers…
Anything under 30 40 days is a waste of a cannatrol in my eyes
Biggest con for me is the size, or lack thereof. I’ve had to move to a staggered harvest, which sucks in lotsa ways for my grow style (dtw, common reservoir).
Last year I was cycling way too many plants through it to give it a really fair shake on its own. Still a bit of a pain this year (if only I had two units) but not nearly so bad… so I should be able to do it right, or closer to right anyway.
Honestly perfect for Rosin pressing at that point though. 4/4 and straight to the press. Yumm
I plan on pressing other ways… for cleaner oil…
Like making dry ice hash or bubblehash and then pressing that… @ZKilla
Looking good so far, only using 2.5 gallon container for now. Originally i was going to put the units near a drain by that didn’t work out.
That’s the ticket!
If you leave the lid off, it can evaporate out and, you may not need to empty it!
But yeah, this will keep in the smell better.
Only reason i don’t is dogs. Otherwise i would use a refrigeration condensate heater/pan with float. Not that I couldn’t just block it off on the front. I’m just happy to have them up and running. I have 2 big ass plants that i don’t know if 22 shelves will be enough.
Thats nice for sure… im not sure i can get mine in the air like that though… i may entertain that tiny pump 1 day…
Or build a crate bottom etc like you… that would work too… but damn @XgrimmX that looks so clean brother… very very nice job man!!
Does the water smell? I never ever noticed, but i havent had a heavy heavy load in yet
We can sell weed water lmao! (Not serious)
Make beer! Lol.
I made a hefeweizen with the remaining bubble hash water once. DON’T do that.
I won’t go into details, but just dont.
I never drink
Me either.
Not anymore.
Brewing is fun though!
Definitely! My girl says it smells “green, like fresh plants” And it tastes green too
I won’t say never, just because I may have a drink on my girl’s birthday or, if I travel to Salt Lake City, but other than that… never. I quit drinking while I was in the Navy, 2 weeks before I turned 21
Seconded on all fronts. Only tasted it once, off the first run we made through the machine, but it wasn’t bad.
Stay up

Same here, I found it was not as sweet as wheat grass but, it is quite potent tasting
