Can't get my scrubbers to work?

Yes I’m going to just try to go with some larger named brand filters. If that doesn’t work I’ll just toss a vortex on top a giant can 100 on the floor in the lung room and the exhaust room. Should fix every issue. Prob too many filters and fans all over the place but I’d rather be safe then sorry. Maybe I’m overthinking how much it will smell. My house is built within the last 20 years has fine insulation and I dnno if grows of 8-10 flowering plants even would permeate a basement with zero filtration to begin with…

Or honestly the more I think about this all… I’m making this to complex. I want a veg and flower, don’t need 3 rooms. I should simply place in one 5x8 with the (2) 600w panels and the t8 with one large scrubber , I can exhaust it right over the wall instead of 40 ft and just put a little vent into the drop ceiling.

I can keep my 5x5 or 4x4 in as a veg tent and instead of venting it outside that king room I’ll vent it inside and just put another large scrubber on the floor on a 6” vortex. To scrub that air.

I honestly feel this is the best answer . I can scrap the 2.5x4 and use the other extra 4x4 or 5x5 to dry. Then I only have one flower tent to worry about humidity control in. I can also scrap the two t6 fans and just use the t8 for flower room and an old vortex for the floor scrubber…. Thoughts?

What equipment do you have exactly?

Is that air space vented?

Looks like you have plenty of space, no one is complaining about having too many tents… I’d keep ‘Em unless you need the funding.

If anything I’d address these Y (red arrow) intersections into something more streamlined. Think of flowing water when you’re designing it.

And @Fuel pointed out , are those led ballasts at the yellow arrow? Might not be a big deal but they do get pretty warm. The heat/cold cycling might be an issue on something holding up your floor :flushed:.

I have two photontek 600 panels. Spider farm 300 panel in the 2.5x4.

I have two infinity t6 fans and a t8. Also from olden days I have 2 vortex 6” and an 8” which I’m not using at all.

Filters I had two ac infinity 6” and the 8” in the tent w the smell issue. I shipped the two 6” back today and will pick up some can filters.

If I ditch the 35ft run of rigid duct and go right over my wall exhaust it there I will be putting it into my Rec room w tv pool tables air hockey etc. I’m not sure what you mean by is it vented?

Ah you said drop ceiling and I was picturing a crawl space. Never mind :+1:

Nope typical basement drop ceiling. Just chose to run it further as it went to my workout room which often doesn’t have crowds of people in it.
If there was no reals front smell I’d just do the short run.

The ballast issue I can easily solve and remove one of the screws letting them pivot and hang from one screw below the joists thus having air on all sides and no fire hazard to the wood.

The t fittings you pointed out. Points of weakness in my system. If you check out the above posts you’ll see I found some new duct pieces I think will work better take a look and gifs me your opinion.

I still think maybe managing just one big tent may be easier. Only one rent to deal w humidity etc in. No need
For multiple fans, ink birds etc

Ya those angled Ys would be a better choice especially in place that t on the left of the picture.

I’d just plop some plants in there before you decide to switch it all up. You have the dream; flower room, veg room, mother/clone room. Just grow into ‘em

Shit another 4000sqft of basement outside that room. I just have no need to use it

We have success! Using my current setup I dialed 2.5x4, 4x4 to speeds on 4 on the t6 fans. I did the 5x5 a speed setting 3 on the t8. Two vents bottom tent open all others closed ripped bowl opened door and tossed it on floor of tent and blew in and shut door. Can’t smell any type of weed smell outside my exhaust end! I think it’s working and I didn’t change shit but try it w the door shut after I hit the bowel

I’ve made comments on ac infinity before and got completely trashed on here and told I’m wrong … not a big deal just trying to help people out that absolutely can not have any smells . A good filter one that actually works draws very hard and these plastic ac infinty fans just do not have the power for good filters . My experience went like this install ac infinity 6 inch on my filters one on intake one on exhaust just like I have always done to eliminate any possible smells because one filter will not do it in my humid climate. The ac infinity would not pull the air it just wouldnt do it , five days go by I smell burnt plastic… the fan melted burnt up .after a few email exchanges I had new fan and ac filter , they said dont use two filters , so at this point i new one was not going to work but i would give it a shot , this new filter had zero resistance like the filter had holes in it and long story short they did not work , so I bought another one, one intake one on exhaust… didn’t work . Went down to hydro shop bought the biggest filters they had over 3 ft tall big thick filters with 12 inch ducting reduced to 6 inch $1200 bucks (wife was screaming everyday she was gona rip the grow room down because her clothes smelled at work ) I though maybe the larger surface area on filters would allow this fan to draw a little air and still run two filters … nope this junk ac infinity will not draw air thru filters that actually work, fan burnt up … dead . Went down bought my old school noisy metal fan been going strong four years no issue . Wife is back to complaining about fan noise when she walks by the room but no smell complaints .Will this story help anybody … I dont know what I do know is ac infinity is junk will not work with good filters that actually work . Ac infinity told me to use their filters because they draw air easily but they dont work . I got ripped off by them so I share this story

The CAN filters everything, as the Vortex PULLS from the whole grow room.
I use poly fiber batting to make a simply end cap filter, to reduce any dust, or a simple prefilter maybe is a better way to say it.
There area total 4 areas, I pull from, to the single filter.
You can always PULL more air than push it.
Good luck in your endeavor…

I have no issue pulling air plenty of air comes. It’s all fixed nkw and I’m happy
